“Nice place in the heart of Bergen”

“Great Hotel, and location”

This hotel is in a great location in down town Bergen. The room was clean and well kept. The bathroom was equally spotless and had great water pressure (unlike in the US where they reduce water flow)! The breakfast was good and a large spread as well, with something to suit everyone. The dining restaurant is really nice. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. The only downside is parking. Of course anywhere you are in downtown Bergen there is limited and costly parking which is not really a "hotel issue". This is true everywhere downtown. I would stay there again.

“Good relative to peers”

Bergen is a tough place to find a nice hotel. The Marin has a great location, large rooms by European standards, and is in great condition. The front desk is unfortunately beholden to the needs of bus tour operators, so don't expect to be given a room on the first day in Europe after an overnight flight until 3:00 PM - we were bounced twice. The breakfast is adequate but by no means interesting. Bergen is a tough town to find a good hotel in. After several trips, this one is the best we've had.

“Right in the action of Bergen”

Hotel Marin was in a great location and had a good room, good breakfast and comfortable bed. They even had a heater bar to dry your hand washables. We even had a view of the bay if you leaned out our window. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

“Neat hotel on the brygg (harbor) in Bergen”

One side of the hotel faces the bryggen (harbor), but the entrance is on the opposite street, so it was a bit of a puzzle getting from the ferry to the lobby of the hotel. Excellent staff, room and breakfast buffet! Only complaint is the size of the tv in the room, a little on the small side when considering the distance from the bed to the tv.

very convenient to all major sites and shopping. extremely friendly front desk. rooms are huge by european standards!

“Great Bergen location”

We booked the family room which provided a large hotel room and a separate extra bedroom. The hotel is located near the waterfront and convenient to many restaurants and to the funicular. Downside to the hotel is that its sits directly across from a big nightclub and the area for smoking is on the street. As our room overlooked the street there was a level of noise until approx 3am on the weekend.
