Surrounded by vineyards and tobacco fields, this small inland port looks more towards Bordeaux than the Dordogne. Rostands hero Cyrano presides over a quiet square in the old town, though his links with Bergerac are purely fictional. South of town, Château de Monbazillac showcases Bergeracs celebrated dessert wine.
