Nice room, convenient parking.

Posted Mar 6, 2014
Pros: Convenient parking. Re-use of old building. Nicely furnished. Clean.
Cons: Availability of desk staff. Bed pillows. Room ventilation (fans needed).
Location: Location is a little off the beaten path, but close to Schwebebahn and center of Wuppertal.
Room was large, clean and well-maintained. Parking was always available on the street right in front of the hotel. A short walk to the S-Bahn and Schwebebahn (worth a trip!). Staff not overly friendly and often not readily available at the front desk. Pillows very uncomfortable. Could have used a fan or two for some air circulation in the room.

Very nice hotel...the location lets it down a bit

Nice note, very comfortable, nice staff, nice rooms..Only the location let's it down a bit as there are no restaurants nearby or in the hotel....good access to Dusseldorf though....50 mins to an hour away....

Looks good. Don't expect too much.

Pros: Fast, free Wifi. Loved it.
Cons: Water pressure terrible and heating by electric convector heater not comfortable.
The Amicial promises style and sophistication. During my visit it under-delivered on comfort and left me wondering whether the money spent on glass wash basins and padded, buttoned leather bed frames might have been better spent heating the place properly or fixing the water pressure so that the shower doesn't stop completely when the occupant of the next room turns theirs on.

Great Staff

Posted Oct 28, 2012
Pros: The staff
Cons: No coffee in room
Location: A bit hard to find
Small hotel hard to find. Great Staff who try hard and easy to work with. Small rooms, in odd shapes. They have a hot pot for tea and coffee but no coffee in the room, odd. Parking on street in front is not a problem. Free internet is a big help.
