Good hotel, presently a challenge to get too...Posted Sep 28, 2014
Cons: small, but good rooms with aged TVs, Internet has been greatly improved and is easy and high speed.
For Wuppertal monumental reconstruction of the entire main rail station and surrounding area makes it a challenge to get to the InterCity Hotel at least for another 3 years, unless you arrive by train, then it is a relative breeze walking from track 1 via a cat walk to the Hotel. Other tracks you need to carry your baggage down and back up to track 1! Arriving by car is a challenge as navigation may steer you wrong, a huge area having been blocked off and detours abound. The hotel has issued a multi language one page leaflet how to navigate this mess, call them and have them fax/scan/email it to you. Hotel is fairly well soundproof and work stops at around 19:00hrs. Many facilities and a more than excellent breakfast round out your stay. Using the garage entrance to walk to the inner City, bus and suspension railway/mass transit system is a breeze.

Nice central hotel very close to Wuppertal centralPosted Sep 25, 2014
Pros: very central and always very courteous when I stay there.
Cons: The Pillows need to be A LOT MORE firmer, bulkier etc
Location: The hotel is very central to Wuppertal. Everything you need is within walking distance, the shops, food courts are literally just over the road.
I have stayed at this hotel now several times. There are ongoing building works outside the front but it does not distract from the overall experience of the hotel. The rooms are clean, the staff are very polite and the restaurant is nice also. The only downside I have is that the pillows are extremely thin, what I mean by that is that there is nothing to them. I likle to sleep with my head propped up not looking at the ceiling lying flat. I did ask for more pillows which the staff were very accommodating. It took 5 pillows bunched together. I have mentioned this on a few occasions and my boss stopped staying there because of this. That said overall, ( apart from the pillows ) it is a very pleasant hotel to stay at

Good valuePosted Aug 15, 2014
Cons: Carpet was a little worn in the room. Did not affect our stay
Location: Brewhaus wuppertal a brewhaus sited in an old swimming pool good beer and food. The suspension railway great and free with the transport ticket.
Friendly staff, good location although work on station could have been upsetting. Free transport ticket was welcome and well used on local and visits to Essen, dortmund Bochum and Hagen even took us to dortmund airport on the way home saved us 26 euros. Did have to pat 3 euro for the bus. Room was a little worn bathroom was good and breakfast and the bar were good. Will be back again.

Adequate Business HotelPosted Mar 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
I travel here often for business. The staff is fantastic! The hotel is in average condition and carpets, mattresses, work out room and televisions require upgrades. However having stayed in Wuppertal for many years, I can say it is the best hotel in the city for business travel.

Right in the city, close to it all.Posted Mar 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
Room was very big! Which was nice since we travelled with an infant, her stroller and then had a crib in the room. Customer service was great! Very helpful. Included in our room was a public transit pass, an unexpected but next treat. The bus station and Schwebebahn are both just across the intersection. Parking garage located within hotel which is convenient. Only downside is the construction in the area currently! Trying to find our way into the garage or access into the hotel was tricky. And it looks like the area will be under construction for a while.

Not a nice hotel at all. It is not worth it.Posted Oct 21, 2013
Way below average. The facilities, the bed comfort was just horrible.

Right next to the SchwebebahnPosted Aug 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
My stay included free public transportation. I used it on the Schwebebahn, nice extra service by the hotel.
