Very well looked after

Posted Feb 3, 2014
Spent most of our time in the Poachers Pub who were very accomadating and had excellent food. Great for those who have a sports fixture they don't want to miss. Had a 3 am wake up call which I was very greatful for as thery were collecting my car keys to move it away from incoming floods. We then got a tractor ride to our car the following morning which we all thought was very exciting! Clean comfy room and a nice spread at breakfast.

Nice comfortable hotel

Posted Sep 26, 2013
Pros: It is in a very pleasant location
Location: The hotel is close to Wokingham
Comfortable hotel. Pleasant welcoming staff. We ate in the pub and at the bar and found the food to be enjoyable. The breakfast was plentiful. The room was small but clean with everything required.

Good all rounder!

I stayed while visiting a friend. The hotel was clean as tidy. The staff were very helpful and attentive. I used the gym facilities that were satisfactory although the room was a little cramped. I would recommend this hotel having stayed in many around Reading.

Great weekend break

Posted Jun 5, 2013
Pros: King size bed cleanliness overall and breakfast
Cons: Lack of computer access
Location: Sat nav took us to wrong place...difficult to locate as not actually in Wokingham
Welcoming, although car park could be improved.Paperwork ready and room was clean, all facilities apart from wifi which was an extra. Towels were pristine clean and sumptuous quality.Breakfast was most enjoyable, good quality food and plenty of variety.Superb and would stay again.

a lot of money for a suite with a broken shower

Posted May 28, 2013
Unfortunately, having upgraded to a suite (at a considerable cost) our shower didn't work, so we were frogmarched through the hotel in our dressing gowns to another room to shower - not particularly dignified!

Disappointing

Posted Jul 11, 2012
Pros: The receptionist was polite.
Cons: The room itself. I didn't like the beams in the room.
Location: nearest station Wokingham
Although the room was an Executive room, I found it quite cold and didn't like the beams in the room. The room was clean and overall suitable.

Very nice for a stay in Reading area.

Posted Jan 4, 2012
Pros: Location.
Cons: Too hot in room!
Very clean from the outside with nice surroundings. Reception is large and tidy and staff were friendly and helpful. Bar area was good. Room was slightly small but the bed was very big so couldn't be helped. At night the room was very stuffy, and the windows could only be opened a few inches, so pretty uncomfortable nights sleep even in December! Nice surprise was the 2pm check out but this might have been due to it being NYE.
