Nice friendly hotelPosted Mar 13, 2014
Lovely lady at reception, no restrictions on going out, give you front door key which was great, room quite old fashioned but has everything you would need. Breakfast okay but quite basic. Would of loved some fruit or yoghurt

petty little signs marred the experience somePosted Nov 18, 2013
Pros: location, parking and price
Cons: petty signs detailing charges for keys and outside food should not be in a hotel in the 21st century breakfast was disappointing
Location: one mile walk from Ascot racecourse
hotel is a bit tired, but that's common. however if you expect to be able to eat or drink in your room, stay elsewhere, the Brockenhurst "reserves the right to add £10 corkage and service charge" if you dare to have outside food or alchohol i had planned to eat in the hotel during our stay, but this little sign made me decide to take my money elsewhere

It is not a hotel - it's a B&BPosted Nov 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
Having booked this I was very disappointed on arrival after a 4 hour drive to discover that there was no restaurant at this 'hotel' and that I had to walk about a mile to the nearest pub to get a meal. The room decor was not to my taste and the room was large and well equiped. I have stayed in rooms smaller than the bathroom. However despite how nice the staff are here it is a very expensive B&B rather than a moderately priced hotel. Don't be fooled as I was by the name.

Good hotel close to Ascot racecoursePosted Oct 25, 2013
Pros: The landlady was very pleasant and helpful. The bedroom was a fair size, not large but big enough for one night with a large, clean bathroom.
Cons: The bedding was old and faded, it needs updating. Breakfast is out of packets and tins,or cooked on request, fresh croissants would have been nice.
Location: Close to Ascot racecourse, and a fabulous Italian restaurant, La Sorrentina, in Sunninghill, in walking distance but take a torch at night.
We stayed just one night as we were going to the races at Ascot. This small hotel is located in a pretty leafy street and the house is very picturesque with a large car park. We got a very friendly welcome and felt looked after whilst we were there. The house itself is lovely but the decor is outdated, a bit chintzy but part of its charm. It is situated not too far from the racecourse, probably walking distance but we took a taxi. It was perfectly placed for our weekend. We would stay again.

Friendly service, good beerPosted Sep 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
A nice building, good location if somewhat "in the woods". Staff were friendly and quick to help. Hotel decor and fixtures/fittings were somewhat "tired" and in need of modernisation. Wifi worked well, as did TV in room.

Housekeeping poor, Object to having to clean WC prior to use. Had to request towels to meet the minimum requirement. Coffee stains on shelf housing kettle. Enjoyed continental breakfast.

Great location but needs improving!Posted Jul 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
The location of the hotel is ideal for anyone going or staying around Ascot. When I got to the hotel, I had to literally wait 10 mins before I seen to as there was no one at the reception. I was then given my key and told me where my room was; no info on breakfast times/WiFi - a little disappointing and lacking in customer service. The room was small but ok as it did have a double size bed. First thing I noticed was that the room needed a major clean, the carpets were a bit dirty, cobwebs in each corner and even a large spider in the bathroom (which would have put off a few guests). WiFi was ok, not super fast but ok. Overall the experience was fine for a 1 night stay but the cleanliness and customer service needs looking into!
