a good room with a different approach ..Posted Feb 8, 2015
Pros: Room was spotlessly clean and really neat, if maybe a little small, but presentation was excellent
Cons: heating of the ensuite
Location: in a quiet village, just off the A34, close to Newbury and Oxford
using the local horse racing industry as a theme for each room, and the addition of horse-based accessories was a great idea. It made another night away from home into a quirky and original stop over ... well done!

Overnight stopPosted Jan 12, 2015
Pros: Comfortable room, and bar/restaurant just across the courtyard.
Location: Nice location just off A road/motorway
Allocated room had no heating, but when I raised this with reception I was immediately transferred to a room where the heating was working.

Clean and ConvenientPosted Nov 22, 2014
Very pleasant stay, with good food and excellent service. Only one thing, but just a minor irritant - the washing machine was on the other side of the room wall, and it would cause a judder every now and then. It's probably placed too close to the wall, and vibrations on startup and shutdown would transmit the vibration through the wall where it touched.

very good for overnight stayPosted Oct 1, 2014
Clean, convenient, and comfortable but with small room this would be a bit uncomfortable for a longer stay. Very nice restaurant and bar bacilities.

Lovely well maintained hotelPosted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Very attractive and tastfully furnished hotel. Food in restaurant was superb.Hotel staff very welcoming.
Hotel in a attractive small village. Very nice for a short break, Wonderful restaurant and food but experience spoilt by room being too hot (even though heating did not appear to be on) and noisy from people in outside patio area.

Great rates and good selection of food and drinkPosted Aug 29, 2014
2nd stay at the hotel, good value for money. Menu is quite good and reasonably priced. Decent selection of drinks. Rooms very good, last stay was on the courtyard rooms ground floor. Great Parking. Semi Rural location in small village, near to Newbury (10miles) and Didcot etc. Great customer service from staff.

Almost but not quite perfectPosted Aug 15, 2014
Great little Inn situated in a quite yet very handy spot that proved ideal for an overnight stay between appointments in Oxford/M4 area. Excellent food at sensible prices, just spoilt a little by the slow service due to short staffing. Definitely on the list of places to stay again.
