Pros: large ground, lovely views
Cons: some of the staff are a bit young and dumb and not willing to take initiative unless prompted.
okayish rooms, not overly large, but pleasing. lovely golf course and amenities. in the sticks a little, but thats what you want when you come here.

1 night stay

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Convenience.
Cons: More tv channels
Location: Not too far from home and convenient for an after work event which is why I stayed there.
I only stayed one night for a summer ball. The room was satisfactory and comfortable with a nice view over the golf course. I was disappointed to find I could only watch a very limited selection of tv programmes, and that they were all BBC. I like to have a tv on whilst getting ready and was disappointed I had such a limited selection and that I wasn't interested in any of it. Bit much when I have to have football on! I didn't go to breakfast as I had plans for the following day. Overall a good experience and would recommend Wokefield Park.

Nice setting

Pros: Set in nice grounds. Plenty parking.
Cons: More bar and restaurant staff. More people would use bar and restaurant if more reasonably priced.
Location: Easy access to motorways.
All the staff were help full unfortunately not a lot of them long waits at the bar.

Disappointed stay...

Posted Jun 1, 2014
For the price we paid, Dated room, mould on ceiling in room & bathroom, shaver point did not work, rubbish shower, noisy hotel staff woke us before 6am with no regard to guests, empty apology from staff...ruined our stay, would never stay here again!

Can't complain for the price

Lovely view from room on second floor. Room was fine and breakfast for£8.50 was Ok. Staff were pleasant. Make sure you go to reception before you get your luggage out of the car. Signposting very poor.

Good value for location and facilities

Posted May 3, 2014
Pros: Value for money, comfortable room and breakfast.
Cons: Decor beginning to get a little tired, but not enough to put me off staying again.
Location: Easy access to the M4, so excellent transport links to London and surrounding area.
Booked at short notice, this hotel was a lot cheaper than other hotel chains in the immediate areas (I didn't realise how expensive Reading was). Whilst decor is a little tired, overall a really comfortable stay and great breakfast. Only thing that might put off guests is that this hotel is used as a business training and conference centre. The bar was quite noisy showing football and motor racing during my stay. Whilst this was great for me, it may not be ideal for everyone - I don't think I would be taking my wife there for a romantic break, at least not during the week. Otherwise, will stay again.

Wokefield Park

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything including the attitude of the staff
I will never stay there again. It wasn.t made clear on the booking that I was staying in the Business Centre so I got all my luggage out of the car at the main reception, only to be told I had to go elsewhere. I was in a disabled room on the ground floor which I was not comfortable with (being on the ground floor) as a female staying on my own, only to be told I would have to upgrade if I wanted a room higher up. The room had no sound proofing and the people in the room above me stamped around all evening and well into the night. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. There was no matress cover and I could feel every spring sticking into me. There was no hairdryer in the room and I found it very difficult to convince the person I spoke to that this was the case. To top it all I was told there was a £2.50 charge to pay for using my company credit card.

Not a bad place

Posted Feb 13, 2014
Pros: An array of facilities and activities to do on-site. Nice friendly staff.
Cons: Bottles of water in rooms and biscuits with the tea :).
No problems with hotel room, though disappointed that no water bottles were provided or biscuits. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Gym is a little too small. The only thing that annoyed me was that it’s in the middle of nowhere and hard to find during the night.
