Pros: Nothing - except the location
Cons: Reception process, room service. Didn't use anything else.
Location: Only used as a business overnight stay, so location was fine. No idea on things to do
The hotel was difficult to get into because of an enormous lorry across the approach to Reception blocking the way as it loaded conference furniture. On checking in I was not asked for a credit card swipe to charge things to, and as a result had to pay cash for room service - it is not possible to pay on a card. I ordered a chicken mayonnaise sandwich on brown bread. It arrived on white bread which was very dry. The content was barely identifiable as chicken - no structure or meat, just a thick paste with a lettuce leaf on top. The whole was dry and tasteless. I mentioned this on check out and was told that the chef (!) would be informed but offered no compensation

Not to std expected of a deverePosted Nov 1, 2013
Pros: Buffet tea letting my daughter choose what she wanted. Friendly staff
Cons: Clean the showers. Oil the doors. Make the lobby more warm and welcoming
Room was ok but right by access from main lobby with door banging all night. Pool nice but showers and toilets full if mould.

Lovely Spa Break in The CountryPosted Sep 27, 2013
Pros: The grounds, and the location and SPA.
Cons: Breakfast more choice and variety
Location: Wokefield Park-Golf Course, Spa, Reading Town centre,
I recently stayed in the Wokefield Park Hotel in Reading with my sister. It is truly a beautiful hotel and we stayed in the mansion house. Although there was a hiccup with our booking as we ended staying our first night in the executive building before moving to mansion house for our second house. The Spa in mansion house is a true bliss lovely Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room over looking the grounds and it was so quiet that me and my sister were the only people in the spa. However the experience was great that we are hoping to book another spa getaway soon. Breakfast is better in the executive house restaurant as they have more variety and same with lunch. Its not far from Reading and the M4 which is great.

Slightly tiredPosted Sep 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very good value for money -although this should be taken in the context of a Sunday night stay, perhaps not so mid week. The hotel could be very good -but I think the room and corridors could be upgraded hence the reason 'tired' A few small alterations could greatly improve

Reasonable price for a night's stay. Room was comfortable, but chairs were worn. Room was very warm but having a door to open was a bonus.

Everything about the hotel is great - except for the shower in the room - couldn't control the temperature - too cold or too hot so couldn't get in it. Other than that - very good. Clean, spacious, quiet.
