Recent stayed for our wedding anniversary and had we known how fantastic the place is, we would have stayed longer. The room was quirky, but fantastically well decorated. The little nuances offered by the hotel / B&B as guest perks were amazing. I won't spoil the surprise by saying what they are, but if you like something different to drink, you will not be disappointed.
For the price we paid, we cannot rate Bel & The Dragon highly enough. The staff were fantastically accommodating given we arrived & checked out early. We sadly only got to experience the food at breakfast, which was beautiful, but next time we will be eating in the restaurant downstairs.
Thanks to all at Bel & The Dragon and hopefully see you soon!!

we booked one night here during our trip - relatively blindly. Went by reviews on Expedia. This little place was wonderful, and we will likely book here during our trip next year. This time for more than one night

The hotel/pub is situated in a small village easily within reach of the M4 but quiet nonetheless. Busy car park but we managed to find a space. Popular pub with very good food made with local produce. As a vegetarian, I find the choices limited usually but not so here. There was plenty of choice and the food was imaginative - not the usual sorry vegetable lasagne found in the bottom of the freezer!
The room was on the small side but clean and adequate. The bed was a little soft for my liking but comfortable. The remote-controlled shower was excellent.
A very pleasant stay and I would make a return visit.

Great location, beautiful greenspace in front of hotel with several walking trails. At end of Cookham high street so lots of excellent restaurants to choose from.
Our room was in new building back from main pub/restaurant so very quiet.
Breakfasts were good and service was friendly.
We stayed in 11 hotels, pubs and B&Bs on our recent trip to England, The Crown at Cookham was one of our best experiences.
