Lovely, unique, quaint, roomy and cleanPosted Feb 19, 2014
Pros: Good appearence small more personal romantic hotel .The large clean well furnished room and quaint unusual bathroom . Staff smiling and helpful .
Cons: Extra pillows and a duvet on the bed . Wine glasses in the room would be nice .
Location: Coppid Beach Hotel bar and restaurant then free admission to Kellar Bar and Apres Night Club.
On our personal one night experience we had a very pleasant stay in a lovely four poster room ( nearest the reception desk and main door) , would have preferred an upstairs room, but our room although no net curtain at the window and was walked past to enter the hotel we just closed the curtains and opened the curtains to the (conservatory) bathroom to let in light . Our heater in the bathroom was not working but when I asked for help it was easily sorted and was reccommended that we leave it on overnight . Gorgeous bathroom large roll top bath , also a standard sized shower cubicle . Very unique and quaint . We did not see the rest of the hotel as we did not use the restaurant for dinner or have breakfast but would have loved a good look around as what we did see was really nice and would go back there again. Did not find the extra pillows in the room till the next morning (in a drawer inside the wardrobe) and had needed them as one pillow each is too flat maybe the 2 pillows could be kept on the bed and easier to remove on to the chair if not required , also a duvet would be better as our sheet, blanket and bedspread kept seperating going opposite directions

Place has characterPosted Oct 13, 2013
for a budget price this place was a surprise . It had an old world charm about it . The conservatory your excellent for breakfast . Food was fine but not very cheap . Biggest complaint was the bed the room was clean and we'll equipped but the bed was old school . A bit hard .

Noise.....Posted Aug 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
I did not sleep from 05.30h until getting up at 08.45h as I believe a member of staff was working in the room above, due to the age of the building the floor boards creaked, and later the sound of a person walk around the room for long periods. The breakfast was very good.

nice stayPosted Jun 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
when i read some of the reviews i want to cancel my booking, but i would have lost our money so stuck with it, breakfast bit steep, on top of room payment, but overall nice guest house, really can not complain for the price, we have paid twice this and it has been no differant at other places, yes couple of bulbs didnt work, yes floorboards are creaky, especially from people above us, but a call at 1am to service reception and they dealt with it swiftly, breakfast could have bit more for the price on cooked breakfast.

Decent little hotelPosted Jun 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
Pretty good all round apart from a 1030 checkout on a Sunday and the cleaners doing the old knock and walk in.
