Hotel is very close to Reading University.

Pros: The microwave, bowls, plates and the cutlery. And a big refrigerator.
Cons: Could provide dish wash. We could wash and reuse the cutlery when needed rather wait till the next day for the room cleaning service to do it.
Location: There are convenience stores, restaurants and bank in short walking distant. The bus stop is just opposite the hotel.
We are there to drop off our daughter at the Reading University. We enjoy the short walk to the Uni, shops and restaurants near by. The bus stop is just opposite the hotel. Is 10 min to town where you can shop till you drop.

We stayed for one night while visiting friends. The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and had a lovely time. Will be visiting again in the future.

Basic hotel convenient for Reading University

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: Staff and convenience for University of Reading
Cons: freshen up decor and ensure that all facilities are properly functioning. Beds / pillows are also uncomfortable
Location: Very convenient for the University of Reading
This was second stay at this hotel so I was aware that the accommodation is basic and decor needs refreshing. Not all facilities ( such as TV, bedside light bulb missing) were functioning properly on first arrival. Staff are friendly and willing to help

Interesting Experience

Posted Jun 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
Very interesting experience. Room was adequate for what was required, there was a washing machine in the room. I decided to try and dry my towels, at which point the floor in my bathroom was flooded. When I went to reception to request a clean up, I was told a) this keeps happening and then b) we'll try to clean it up when we can. I was then offered a couple of towels to try to clean up myself. That is what I will call an interesting experience.

Only stay if desperate

Posted Jun 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
I needed a last minute hotel booking in Reading. Unfortunately when I was travelling it seemed all the main hotels were booked up, in desperation I ended up staying here. Big mistake! The room I was given was more like a student flat, with old, cheap furniture, a fridge, simple stove, sink and no fan. It was an absolutely boiling day and the window would open but would then not stay open. I complained and they did move me to a better room (family room) that had a fan at least to keep it cooler, however it's all very much the same. Cheap. However the price I paid for the night was what I normally pay for a much better hotels (£90). Breakfast was a poor fair too. I certainly will not be staying again, and would not recommend. The only good thing going for it was the central Reading location.

wrong description.stay away from it.

Even staff friendly,i did book a family room but the wrong date.staff were happy to change it.Given room 528,there was no bed for my daughter.smelly carpets, dusts in bathroom, old furniture.this is not hotel,it is more like a pension house.cheap hotel but definitely not for family or a two nights stay.it is not near the town center.I have to admit staff were very helpful. After check in,i stayed no more than 5 mns and went to another hotel.
