We were only staying one night I'm very glad to say. The hotel is in the middle of a retail park with car showrooms, tesco extra, and numerous other outlets, didn't bother us as we there as going to my mum funeral, not sight seeing. If there for sight seeing you will need the use of a car. The staff are ok, but don't introduce themselves and are not really that customer friendly. Our room needed some attention and updating. Beds uncomfortable, furnishings could do with an upgrade, there was a crack that ran across the ceiling and down the wall, bath was chipped and had hair in it, the extractor fan didn't work. The toilet well there is a knack to flushing it. It was very hot in the room and the window for security, only opens about 3 inches. Breakfast was ok, but not the best buffet type I've had at lower grade hotels, and you are left to fend for yourself as you are not told anything. In other hotels I've stayed the whole procedure for breakfast was explained and also that if you wanted something specific whether it could be done or not. Also we went to have coffee and soft drink for my daughter at the bar, it was very expensive and they had out of date cakes for sale, which was pointed out to them. Overall I won't be staying there again.

Good hotelPosted Aug 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall hotel is good , but needs a lift put in as they have Family rooms on the fist floor and families come with pushchairs and lots of luggage. The Bed rooms are in need of updating as they are getting very tired. The breakfast was very good and overall was a good hotel for a short stay.

Overall a good stay at the hotel, clean and in a quite location. Beds are very firm, not easy to sleep on at all.

awfulPosted Aug 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
When checking in at the hotel, i was told my booking had been made at the hilton north, and not the hilton centre which was incorrect. We were then given a room and of which the television remote didn't work effectovely and u had to fiddle around with the batteries to get it to work and the toilet did not flush properly either and i ended up having to flush it numerous times! Very disappointed on the hotel on the price i paid for it! Awful!

The room was good, bed really comfy. The only downside was that the extraction fan did work, which caused the room to smell (damp). Also the toilet didn't flush that well.

Lovely hotel on retail park. Food in hotel expensive but pizza hut and McDonald's nearby. No lifts but only two floors. Handy for racecourse and town centre.

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay, drinks expensive but that was expected. Dinner and breakfast was great. Would return without hesitation.
