Cons: Service ..
No hot water for 3 days . Had to check out early. Manager could not be reached, maintenance could not say when the problem could be resolved. Will not recommend. Poor service.

Okay, but...Posted Aug 31, 2014
Accommodation would have been excellent except for randomly inadequate cutlery (one teaspoon in a two bedroomed apartment) and the sort of snagging issue that should really have been sorted at fit-out. Cupboards that wouldn't close. Also practically no parking unless (a) you are lucky and (b) you drive a mini.

2 nights at the MAXPosted Aug 26, 2014
We arrived on Sunday so self check in which was quick and easy (only we hadn't been pre warned of this so had to call for safe code) the room was respectable and clean. The bed is on wheels which should be fastened. Other than that pleasant stay and experience for the price.

Do not stay herePosted Jul 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
I wish I could recommend these apartments because the location is convenient and the apartments themselves are a reasonable size. However, they were dirty, and we had no hot water for 2 days. The small grounds in front of the building was covered in litter, so even entering the building felt dirty. One day the building alarm went off (someone was frying bacon), and it was still going after 30 minutes when I left. No one from reception was there to help. In fact, I only saw someone at reception once in the 5 days we were there. My friends were given a smaller apartment than the one they paid for, and no one would help in spite of numerous phone calls, text messages and emails. Also, the area is a bit of a concern based on the note we saw on a nearby building about a recent break in. We heard that one should never leave a car in the area because it was likely to be vandalized. All in all, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Self catering apartment in the centre of ReadingPosted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: It was right next to a Tesco Express When we got a parking space we could leave the car and walk / use public transport
Took 4 attempts to find the hotel entrance and then to find the car park. Poor communication from Expedia and from Number 18. Should have obtained an access code and key safe code but we didn't know this. Luckily the receptionist was still there when we arrived. Apartment spacious and clean however this was on the ground floor and looked out onto a busy road. Blinds in the lounge area but only curtains in the bedroom that didn't close properly nor could you open them. Only three ceiling spotlights worked in the lounge / kitchen area and none of the bulbs in the table lamps. There was only enough cutlery for 2 people and only I small glass, 2 chipped wine glasses, one tumbler and 2 mugs. Didn't use the dishwasher as insufficient cutlery and crockery. There was a notice up to say the water heater was being replaced and there would be hot water in the morning. This notice remained in place for our 4 day stay and we didn't have enough hot water for a shower at any time.

very expensive for the bad qualityPosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: clean / large rooms
Cons: toiletries (shampoo soap...) and towels in the bathroom spoons, plates ...in the kitchen quality of sofa and bed
Location: shopping center / easy to drive around
BAD ARRIVED ON FRIDAY AT 4.30 NOBODY TO OPEN THE DOOR OR TO WELCOMME US / PHONE NUMBER ON THE BOOKING WAS NOT IN USE ! OBLIGED TO PHONE TO THE NUMBER WRITTEN ON THE FRONT DOOR (NOT EASY WHEN YOU ARE A FOREIGNER TO FIND THE PHONE CODE / TO UNDERSTAND FIGURES) THE LADY DID NOT EXCUSE FOR THAT BAD SOFA AND BED VERY NOISY (BUSY ROADS)

In the end I refused the overnight in these apartments. First appartment I was given was on the ground floor overlooking a major road with blinds that were pulled off of the rail and on the floor. The kitchen wooden floor was lifting and the bathroom wasn't too much better. The second apartment I was offered had no lights whatsoever in the entrance hall. All bulbs gone. The bathroom had two bulbs out and this was continued through out the flat. The sofa looked fine until you tried to sit on it. In it would have been a better description. The kitchen was probably worse than the first. I can not recommend a stay here.

Carpark realy hard to find, feels grubby.Posted Jun 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
Hated my stay, the rooms are nice once you get in but the booking doesnt tell you you have to organise to get teh key before 5PM or you need a code (which they didnt give), so on the first evening of my booking nobody answered the phone so i couldnt stay at the apartment. Car parkis hard to find with no instructions how to find it. Surrounding areas are grotty. The common areas are filty and need a good clean. Hated my stay. Location so close to centre is good.

Would be good except for all the things wrongPosted Jun 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
Dishwasher broken and nobody seemed bothered to fix it. Looks like it has remained unfixed for ages. No plug in kitchen sink so difficult to even wash the dishes by hand. An ironing board but no iron. Bedroom lighthing almost non existent and bedside light did not work. Generally a good property let down by very poor managing. Needs a wake up call.
