“I always stay with you when I go to London.”

Even though you are in Datchet, I always like to stay with you when I visit London as it is so convenient. As always, I had a very comfortable night with you last Sunday and I'm looking forward to my next visit. The only downside to my visit was the next morning when all I could hear at breakfast was the whinging of a pompous ,overweight man and his shrill wife, who it seems moan, about everything and were, in my opinion, very rude to your well mannered waitress. It's not her fault they were too hot! I was very comfortable and will recommend you to everyone!

“Great little hotel - unbeatable location”

Having stayed at a Travelodge on arrival in England, I was hoping to have a more restful last night. I was not disappointed by the Manor Hotel. My room was lovely - TV, coffee, tea and biscuits, writing table and two (2!!) fans since the weather was unseasonably warm. The front desk accommodated my request for a quiet room, and it was indeed peaceful. There is a lounge for guests, and a computer (for that 24 hr. check in for your flight). Yes, the bathroom was a bit small (in my single room), but the rest of the room was good sized with a full size bed. The highlight was the breakfast buffet - a variety of fruit ( incl. watermelon!), cereals, teas, pastries, plus the cooked meats. The hotel is close to the train and bus stop with direct connections to Heathrow, right on a lovely village green, and a short walk to the Thames river. (from my Tripadvisor review)

“Nice Hotel just outside of Windsor”

Nice, modern hotel close to public transportation and Windsor. The contiental breakfast offered a selection of fresh fruits, cereals, pastries, breads, cold meats and cheeses as well as fruit juice, tea and coffee. I was in a petite double, which was small, but nicely furnished, clean, well maintained and had an en suite bathrom. The Manor Hotel, Datchet, is a good alternative to the more expensive hotels located in Windsor. Datchet is a historic village that has a good choice shops, pubs, cafe's and restaurants. Windsor is 1.5 miles away and is a 15-20 minute walk, or a 2 minute train ride. Central London is about a 45 minute train ride into Warterloo Station. Would definitely recommend this hotel based on the friendliness of the staff, the quality of the rooms, transport links and the location.

“Wonderful Stay”

Wanted to stay in a smaller, quaint town near Thorpe Park before going on to London. The Manor Hotel was charming and very close to the metro. One stop to Windsor and a few stops to Thorpe. Reminded us of Fawlty Towers. LOVED our stay!! Room was of course on the small side, like most European hotels, but very clean. The staff at the bar was very accomodating with answers to all of our questions concerning the best way to get to where we needed to go. Get a pint (or 2!!) and sit out on the patio and relax after traveling about. The Italian restaurant service and food was great, as well as The Stag Restaurant. Enjoyed both meals very much. Stop in at the Wine Stack across the street. The owners are the nicest people and can help you choose a wine that will be perfect to enjoy. We enjoyed the small English town of Datchet so much, we will definitely stay there again when we go to England. London is so fast paced, it was definitely nice to visit this lovely town.

“Lovely hotel overall”

The Manor Hotel's emphasis seems to be on catering events. There are occasional housekeeping issues which could be avoided by more supervision by the managers. For example, my shower curtain was black with mold over much of it, but apparently hadn't been noticed. To their credit, when I mentioned this at the desk in the morning, it was replaced (not just cleaned) by the time I finished breakfast. Aside from these oversights, I found the hotel clean, the front desk personnel friendly and helpful, and the public rooms immaculate. Special mention to the breakfast servers, who remembered my liking for fresh fruit and herbal tea, and made sure the buffet was well stocked.

“good hotel, but not exactly in Windsor”

the hotel has an old part and a new part. we were in the new part. room was large and well appointed. phone service at that time was not working. good breakfast and the staff were very helpful. it is,however, out of windsor, in datchet and you need to drive. parking in windsor is very expensive or take a bus.

“Nice quaint hotel”

Very nice hotel in the middle of town, 5 minutes from Windsor Castle. Train station to downtown London is right behind the hotel, easy 1 hour trip to Waterloo station, don't have to worry about driving. Not many restaurants in Datchet, but there are many in neighboring Windsor. Hotel has free wireless Internet access, however not all room can receive the signal; best spot is in the den-like area near the lobby. Free breakfast, including hot foods like eggs, sausage and hash browns. Only complaint is hallway floors are very old, you will hear every creek when someone is walking down the hall. Also, every so far there are "fire doors" that are closed in the evenings. You just have to open the door to walk through, however the doors slam shut, so you will hear those in your room as well. Other than that everything was great, would definitely stay hear again.

“Nice and handy for Windsor”

Generally a reasonable hotel. My husband and I had a twin room (twin beds, not requested) and my daughter and her young son had the room next door (twin beds were requested). Our room was fine although i wouldn't say it was 4* standard, more like 3*. My daughter's room, a little smaller than ours, was ok but very warm although a fan was in the room and when she asked for a plug for the bathroom it was provided immediately. The floorboards in the corridor outside were very creaky but I wasn't disturbed at all by the trains or planes. Breakfast was ok with good choice but I would prefer a full English (which is provided but at extra cost). Not all the staff were overly friendly but others made up for it.

“Good Place for Heathrow”

Manor Hotel is close to Heathrow and WIndsor. A small quaint hotel in a pleasant village square situation. Good food at the pub across the street. Personnel are very helpful.
