“Not a 4 star hotel”
Not bad value with the Expedia deal but not what I would call a 4 star hotel. Room very small, double bed up against two walls. No drawer space and a very small wardrobe ideal for a stay of one night only. Collapsible luggage recommended as solid case(s) would block any available passage. Breakfast very disorganised especially since a wedding party seemed to want to monopolise the whole hotel despite staff's best efforts.
“The Manor Hotel, Datchett - website promises more than is delivered”
it’s dreadful. The rooms were tiny and run down, drains don’t run properly, B&W tv, no wireless and stained ceilings and bed covers. Plus no parking, so you have to park in an industrial area and walk to the hotel down an unlit road. But the reception area was nice…!
“Unhappy incident”
I had a very unpleasant incident with the receptionist and will never go back
“Not impressed”
First problem with this hotel is parking - you have to park in someone else's carpark down the road using a PIN number provided by the hotel. Stayed in a petite room. The description stated "temperature controlled rooms" but my room was very hot thanks to a radiator that had been on all day and a bathroom radiator on full with no way of turning it down. I had to open the window to cool the room down and then couldn't sleep thanks to the hotel being by a busy main road, a rail way line and being on Heathrow's flight path. Room was generally clean although the bath mat needed replacing as it was very mouldy. Having stayed around Windsor / Staines / Heathrow a lot over the past few months I wouldn't recommend staying here - there are better hotels nearby.
“Cute hotel, needs updating”
the ghotel is a cute old hotel in the center of Datchet UK.. 40 minutes due west of London. It sits in the middle of a wonderful little English village with a great pub (The Stag) and a great Italian restaurant down the street.. The hotel needs to install air conditioning as the rooms were hotter than hell....do not go to this hotel from June-August.. their internet only works in the library (not always), their staff at the desk are woefully untrained, and they seem to know very little about their surrounding area. Very convienient to the train to London. Try to find another hotel if possible in the area.
“Not impressed”
Curtains fixtures were broken and fittings were loose on the wall. Breakfast was overcrowded and food ran out and not replaced. We ended up with very little to eat.
