Nice hotel - football ground a bit of a surprise!Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: Staff in the main were very helpful and friendly
Cons: Information on the website about the football - times to avoid arriving/leaving!
We had a lovely stay at the hotel, although were a little surprised when we arrived that it was adjoined to a football stadium. This was not mentioned on the website. Luckily we arrived 5 minutes before the match finished and the staff allowed us to temporarily park our car in a disabled place, until the football traffic had gone. We were planning to eat in the bar and this was not possible because of the football crowd that were in there. We ended up having to wait to go into the "le cafe" restaurant which was not ideal with a 3 year old. However the staff in the restaurant (particularly Charley) were extremely helpful and accomodating and the food was very nice. The bedroom was very spacious and clean and the beds were very comfy. The choice for breakfast the following morning was excellent. We used the swimming pool and whilst this was small and quite busy at one point, it was clean and warm. We would visit the hotel again but we would be more aware of the disruption the football can have!

Functional hotel for business tripPosted Feb 15, 2015
Cons: Restaurant menu could do with changing
Have stayed here many times. Reception staff always friendly. Service in restaurant can feel impersonal and the menu is uninspiring as is breakfast. Room on this occasion was spacious and warm. Despite being an internal room overlooking a bar area it was very quiet.

Booked one night and it was a very pleasant stay, the hotel was warm and comfortable (snowing when we arrived) and the enormous rooms were a delight.

Reading - handy for Green ParkPosted Jan 28, 2015
Cons: Housekeeping to double check what should be in the rooms
Booking made at 16.00 the day before arrival. Late checking at 22.00 and hotel had not received booking details from Expedia, they allowed me to check in but wanted proof of credit card, not a problem as hotels usually want credit card swipe to book extras. Minor fault - mini fridge included note in door "help yourself to 2 bottles of complimentary bottles of water " - there weren't any in there : ( and at 22.00 I didn't know how long it would take room service to deliver any. Uncomfortable large double bed which was like a mountain peak, soft and sinking on the outsides, hard and pointed in the middle. However, handy location for Green Park offices.

Good Hotel...Very clean and great customer servicePosted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: All of it.
Cons: Yes get shhh signs and tell people to be mindful of people sleeping!
Location: It's a 2 mile drive to Oracle(taxi is £8 each way) great for the stadium as you are on top of it!
We had a lovely stay, the hotel is spotless and the staff are great. They could do with some Shhhhh signs in the corridors as people seem to think the doors are sound proof and insist on talking loudly! I think the Holiday Inn has a shhh campaign, every hotel should have one!

NIce HotelPosted Jan 25, 2015
Pros: Clean, modern, exercise room, bar.
Cons: Beer selection on draft
Location: Right beside the football field in Reading
We stayed here as it was close to our meeting location, and was cheaper than the neighbouring Hilton. Highly recommend this hotel. Modern, nice bar, good exercise room, and food was good.
