impersonal, and no bargain deal, but does the job and is good for connections to rail to Heathrow/Gatwick

Conveniantly central and well equipped

Posted Sep 30, 2014
It's a good hotel, slap in the center of Reading so you are surrounded by shops, restaurants etc. The facilities are great, the pool and sauna etc nice and empty. Only thing that let it down was the comfort of the room. The bed is very hard, and the air-conditioning ineffectual, which meant two nights of poor sleep.

Great hotel

(Stayed 20 Sept 2014) Hotel choosen due to proximity to the venue we were attending, it's close to the rail station, in the town centre, easy too find...reception was spot on, nothing was a problem, room was beyond what I thought, modern, well thought out, clean...just what we needed, you cannot fault this cheap, modern well placed hotel.

Family Stay

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: Very clean and welcoming
Cons: The price of breakfast is way too high. Top hotels in London wouldn't even charge nearly £17 per person.
Very well located hotel, with welcoming staff and excellent children's facilities.

The bed

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Had a double room but it was two single mattresses pushed together, they constantly worked themselves away from each other leaving a big gap in the middle of the bed. I fell asleep next to my girlfriend and woke up lying in the wooden frame because as we moved in out sleep the mattresses came apart. Was very unimpressed

Nice hotel, very noisy if you stay at the front.

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: Staff very nice
Nice hotel, but advise you ask for a room at the back or on the side. We were kept awake until the early hours by the drunks coming out of the comedy club and pubs/nightclubs to get the bus - bus stop is outside the hotel
