Family Stay

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: Very clean and welcoming
Cons: The price of breakfast is way too high. Top hotels in London wouldn't even charge nearly £17 per person.
Very well located hotel, with welcoming staff and excellent children's facilities.

The bed

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Had a double room but it was two single mattresses pushed together, they constantly worked themselves away from each other leaving a big gap in the middle of the bed. I fell asleep next to my girlfriend and woke up lying in the wooden frame because as we moved in out sleep the mattresses came apart. Was very unimpressed

Nice hotel, very noisy if you stay at the front.

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: Staff very nice
Nice hotel, but advise you ask for a room at the back or on the side. We were kept awake until the early hours by the drunks coming out of the comedy club and pubs/nightclubs to get the bus - bus stop is outside the hotel

Not a 4 star experience

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Not much...location is the only thing that comes to mind!
Cons: Everything
Location: Location is the only good thing I can say about this hotel
3 out of 4 lifts out of order on or visit - our room was on 9th floor but still quicker to use stairs than wait for the lift. When lift did arrive was so small that only 4 people can get in comfortably, if guests had suitcases then forget it, 2 people max! When we actually arrived on our floor the door keys didn't work so it meant going back down to reception to get then activated again ( this happened twice on one overnight stay.... bathroom with glass doors open onto the side of the bed, very small, no privacy. closet (without door) so tiny we had to tilt hangers to get them on rail - one dressing gown for 2 people and no slippers! room set up was also quite strange and felt very disjointed. chaos in the restaurant at breakfast with guests coming back to their table with their breakfasts only to find it had been reallocated to someone else.... Bar prices also quite high at £4 for a beer. On leaving hotel no one answering call button to open exit gates in car park, had to keep buzzing! All in all very disappointing stay will not go back.

Good hotel right in the centre of town. Pubs, restaurants, shops and other entertainment within a short walk. As is the railway station.

New hotel close to town

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: New, clean good facilities in room
Cons: Parking
Wasn't aware we had to use NCP car park that even discounted was £10 for our stay which was just over 12 hours ! We were only using the hotel as a stop so didn't use any of the facilities.
