It was one of the option when i stay in readingPosted Nov 27, 2013
Pros: nice lounge, good location of food.
Cons: staff manner please! at least "try to fake" that you tried to make your customer satisfy
Panta is my friend's favourite hotel, so every time she came to visit she will book pantahotel as her first choice. She loves the bathroom and friendly staffs so I guess she had her reason. I used to stayed with panta with my friend but this time I book the hotel with my other friend and requested a bathroom online as my friend had a sore ankle. When I arrived, the couple who rushed in jumped in front of me and the reception staff didn't say anything at all. The staff who served me was okay not that friendly but professional enough. When I got into my room and realised there's no bath tub i rang in and asked for an exchange but the staff told me all rooms are fully booked without even think about it. So I expedia it again and found out they still have vacancy. I was too tired to make an argument but the staff who told me the hotel is fully booked was not friendly at all and ruined my enjoyment with pants, so the next two trips in reading, I didn't book Panta. and not going to book it this week either.

Convenient to town centre.Posted Nov 25, 2013
Good location, not the most attractive area of Reading, but easy walk to town centre and Oracle. Close to various dining options, Tesco Express open till 11pm over the road. Clean modern hotel. Comfortable well equipped room, nice bathroom and shower. Good vibe in hotel bar in the evening. Would definitely stay here again. Only downside was parking 5 mins walk away.

Funky, but...Posted Nov 14, 2013
Nice vibe and good facilities. My only warning would be to request a room on the quiet side of the building. Some rooms back onto a noisy A road and even on the 6 floor it was audible. Not a problem for me personally, but if my partner had been with me she would have been troubled by it

Nice hotel!Posted Nov 14, 2013
Stayed for business - got in early called from the airport to see if there was any chance of checking in early and catching a few winks and they accommodated my request. Well-situated at the end of the high street, 5-10 minute walk to the train station, easy walk to restaurants, I will be very happy to stay there again.

Recently refurbished - shame about the locationPosted Oct 7, 2013
This is obviously an older hotel but has been refurbished to a good standard. Staff are not very helpful and there were always long queues at reception, although the view around the lobby area was quite nice. Not in the best part of town but close enough to the town centre; I think some visitors will find the locality a bit scary after dark though. Room was pleasant and everything worked but it wouldn't suit a light sleeper as it was noisy being right next to a busy dual carriageway. I would stay again but I'd shop around first.

Decent Hotel not far from city centerPosted Sep 30, 2013
The rooms are nice enough but if you want a good night's sleep look somewhere else as there is one of Reading's busiest roads just outside which made it impossible to sleep after 7am on a Sunday. Furthermore the lifts where broken and there was a sign to use the services lift with no indication where to find it. But hey, who doesn't like to search for the lift or stairs for that matter.

Weekend BreakPosted Sep 25, 2013
Pros: It was aimed for the younger generation so quite relaxed.
Cons: The lighting, cleanliness and breakfast quality
Location: Great location with plenty of shops and restaraunts
Very disappointed as read quite a few good reviews on this hotel, although it was a modern and well presented hotel, my main gripe was the cleanliness of our bathroom. It was also a little dark which I think was intentional - also very disappointed with the breakfast.

Location: Its Reading
Its opposite the Travelodge which looks positively embarrassed to be overlooked by this fab hotel. Great hotel, lovely bar and lounge area, big with comfortable leather sofas. The beds are massive, 7 to 8 feet wide and amazingly comfortable. Great TV choice including Sky sports with aquarium and crackling log fire channels which was very relaxing I must say. Fever Tree tonic, a very pleasant scent throughout and friendly staff - what more do you want? These are a German chain with only 2 in the uk, but I will be seeking them out.

Huge Beds , Very Nice Layout , Great ServicePosted Sep 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very happy with my room , the beds were very big and the room was modern , clean and quite big . If it had a fridge in the room as well it would be exceptional . Apart from that , very satisfied with Pentahotel Reading .
