The rooms are basic. Overpriced. Don't arrive during Thursday evening Trivia!

The Pentahotel is a lovely modern hotel. Hotel staff extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is within walking distance of shops, restaurants, bars and clubs & train station. Would definitely stay again

Location: Central location with easy access to shopping and restaurants.
Stayed here for just one night. Hotel was well located in the centre of Reading with easy access to shopping and Restaurants. Comfortable rooms with usual facilities. Enormous bed. Very comfortable and slept very well. Car parking is 2 streets away and is easy to access.

Funky hotel in ideal locationPosted Mar 17, 2014
I love staying here - the decor is great, it's so handy and the breakfast is outstanding. However, when I stayed, it was unseasonably hot weather for early March and the air con for the hotel had not been turned on. So I literally did not sleep a wink - the room was like an oven. You could not open the window as the noise from the IDR is deafening. I did mention the issue at check out - the receptionist said that I could have changed rooms if I had contacted reception. However, the thought of packing up my belongings and moving rooms at 1.30am was beyond me.

Friends reunitedPosted Mar 3, 2014
Stayed at the pentahotel with three friends and two children. We just wanted to catch up and this was a great place to do it. Lovely leisurely breakfast on Sunday - great selection and good quality food. The late check out on Sunday was very welcome as we didn't have to rush to pack up and check out and the hotel were accommodating in making two of the rooms interconnecting which was a help in the evening as the children could sleep while we chatted next door. The bar was fun too - but rowdy at all. Close to the oracle for dinner in the evening and shopping in the day. All this and a bargain price too - I'd definitely recommend.

Ok hotelPosted Feb 27, 2014
Pros: Decent facilities, comfortable room, good value
Cons: Free WiFi is pointless as it is completely unusable. Full English breakfast is also very over priced and not very nice at all, avoid
Location: Central location
Decent location, near the centre of town. Good clean room, with a decent bed. Helpful staff, willing to help when required.
