“OK for a cheap night”
The main building is lovely, but the rooms on the other building are a little rundown. There were only two sachets of milk left out in the room, hardly enough for two people! The room was clean, however, and the shower was brilliant! You could hear people moving around upstairs, next door and along the corridors, so if you're after silence, this may not be the place for you! Staff were helpful enough, though some were a little frosty. The private parking facilities were excellent, though. We skipped the restaurant and breakfast, too, as it was ridiculously overpriced. However, the hotel was good value and ideal for racing punters looking for somewhere to stay. It's within easy walking distance of the racecourse, and very close to the town centre, too, though not so close that you can hear people at pub closing time!
