The hotel is ok if you are on foot (no parking but convenient by train). If you have never visited Windsor, it is a great location. I had a very short stay and my only complaint was that the ventilation unit (I assume it was A/C) required climbing on a chair to use and difficult to use.

It was only a one night stay but the hotel was very comfortable in a superb location right opposite Windsor Castle.

Romantic getaway we did NOT get as, of the three night stay, two of the nights we had music with a heavy bass blasting into our room from below until well after midnight (not advertised on the website, BUT BE WARNED - the over 30's dance is a regular occurence) making the windows and floor vibrate. However, very clean rooms of high quality.

Opposite Windsor Castle!!Posted Aug 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
What an unbelievable location?! I mean, you can't get closer than opposite Windsor Castle and directly next to the shopping precinct. Windsor is amazing, such a lovely place to visit and just incredible for food, shopping and sights! The hotel was nice, the rooms were average, nothing awful but nothing amazing. They could do with some renovations including updating their technology and plumbing which was ancient. Overall, it's the location that makes it and make sure you don't ever pay the rack rate, there are so many offers to be had!

Horrendous staff and servicePosted Aug 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff were rude and unhelpful. Never picked up the phone when calling reception, never offered to help with bags even when asked, got the rooms wrong and offered no help to change them and didn't notify guests the price of breakfast or whether it was included with the room - and at £15 it's very expensive! As we booked a number of rooms beforehand, I rang in advance to ensure the right rooms were in the right name. I needed to ring over 3 times to confirm this, never received an email to confirm our conversations despite asking each time and on the day they still had the bookings wrong. It's a good location, and some of the rooms are nice although you play a lottery with that as some are tiny for the same price! The staff ruined our stay though and from overhearing other guests, sounds like we weren't the only ones.

Superb locationPosted Aug 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel is directly opposite the castle and the views are spectacular. We were in a self contained annex which is brand new. Very private and incredibly comfortable, bed was to die for.

A good bed in a good location - both close inPosted Aug 13, 2013
Location: facing a castle wall
I had asked for a quiet room, which may be why I got a room in back which seemed a glorified closet. The TV screen was at the foot of the bed and I could literally touch it with my own feet. Lighting was unnaturally dim. The alley was noisy in the morning. But in the end, it didn't matter since I spent very little time in the room. The staff answered my questions as best they could; the "concierge" was not really a concierge. After a week at a bed and terrific breakfast, the breakfast at the hotel was bland. The best thing was the location - right across from the castle. I wasn't able to be there on a parade day, however.
