Family break at The Oakley Court Hotel

Posted Dec 14, 2014
Pros: The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean with everything we needed. The breakfast was very tasty with a great
Cons: Nothing apart from a very snotty member in the swimming pool who seemed to think children shouldn't be allowed in the pool (call the fun police!!!!)
Location: Just outside Windsor, it is in a great location. We visited Lapland UK, which was fantastic.
I stayed here with my wife and son for a short break before Christmas. Everything about the hotel was 1st class.

Wonderful location on the River Thames:

Posted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: Location, tranquility of the surroundings.
Cons: Some of the rooms definitely need a little sprucing up, it's an Old Hotel, but I have found that if I have a problem with a room the staff will move.
Location: Windsor Castle, Windsor Town, Runnymede, Eton - across the Bridge and down to the College. Oxford, Henley and the Cotswolds are very close by car
My Husband and I have stayed at the Oakley Court many times over the years. The location is wonderful, right on the Thames, although it might be necessary to hire a car to explore the surrounding area - the Cotswolds are only about 2 hours away, as is Oxford, Henley and the wonderful countryside. The river view rooms are lovely, especially in the Spring and Summer, and the lounge and bar areas are excellent.

Lovely Hotel, well situated in beautiful grounds.

Posted Nov 23, 2014
Pros: Situation, Decor , Cleanliness & friendly attentive staff
Hotel is situated in beautiful grounds. The interior of the hotel is reminiscent of a large stately home, yet manages to feel cozy & welcoming. The staff were very attentive, professional and friendly. The carpets and furnishing throughout were immaculate. We didn't have an evening meal so cannot comment. The breakfast was excellent - full English with quality fresh juices and plenty of hot coffee and tea . Probably the best hotel we have stayed in in this country. The only criticism (Which applies to most hotels) is that sound from the corridors can intrusive if you are a light sleeper. Overall can recommend this hotel - you wont be disappointed.

Nice hotel in the English countryside

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: The setting and the service
Cons: Restaurant food
Location: This is an area where there are first class restaurants particularly in near by Bray. One can also visit Windsor with its castle and shops.
A very pleasant hotel by the river Thames close to Windsor, Bray and Maidenhead. Set in very pleasant surroundings with beautiful gardens and a 9 hole golf course. The staff was always ready to help and it is service with a smile all the way. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The only negatives we found was the fact that room rates change from day to day so for our 3 night stay, we paid a different rate for every night ! There may well be an explanation but it is disconcerting. The hotel restaurant is set in pleasant surroundings but I would not boast about the quality of the food. Service was excellent but the menu needs improving.

A lovely location and luxury hotel

Posted Nov 1, 2014
At only slightly more than the nearby regular chains this hotel far surpasses what any of the others can offer. The staff were wonderful and the room superb with a fantastic view out over the river Thames watching the rowers practice. My only regret was that we only stayed one night - next time we stay in Windsor I will ensure we stay here again.

Charming old hotel along the river

Posted Oct 27, 2014
Had a lovely overnight stay in this gem of a hotel this weekend. Beautiful location, wonderfully helpful staff who even gave my partner a special complimentary Birthday breakfast. Enjoyed the walks along the river, nice gym and leisure facilities and very comfortable accommodation. My only regret is that we only stayed one night, not long enough to take advantage of all the hotel had to offer.
