Solo Travellers

Posted May 14, 2013
Pros: My single room was comfortable and a good size with a decent bathroom
Cons: Slightly "clunky" plumbing
Location: Well placed hotel with access to Windsor Park and the town centre with Windsor's main attractions.
Friendly and relaxed atmosphere which is important for a solo traveller.

Ideal short stay

Posted Nov 7, 2012
The hotel is a short 10min walk into the town centre/castle. Room booked - Standard Double I only stayed 1 night but the room itself was nice, with a comfortable bed. It was not the biggest room in the world but is more than fine for a short stay (There was enough room to walk around the double bed and a small table to give an idea of the size). The bathrooom was very small on the otherhand. I would probably not recommend the small rooms advertised! I did not eat in the hotel as there are plenty of places in town to eat which are very nice. Call in advanced to book a car park space! £15 for overnight parking.

Praises and suggestions

Posted Nov 3, 2012
Pros: Help from staff and cleanlinesss of room.
Cons: Decor in general rooms
Location: Excellent for my needs as on a course at the nearby private hospital
As a single woman Iwas nervous about staying on my own and the quality of a single room. I need not have worried. The room was excellent though small and probably not suitable for the obese! The bed was rather hard but I realise that tastes are different. Internal stairs (not the main staircase0 would have benefitted from rails for the less able bodied and would save a hand on the wall.

Too small, too not, lousy bed

Posted Jul 2, 2012
Pros: Clean
Cons: Size, quality of bed, size of room
Location: Good, but choose another hotel in the area.
To say that the bed was awful and the room was too small would not begin to capture the degree of misery we experienced staying in this hotel. We didn't sleep at all. The room we had was not suitable for two people. It was barely acceptable as a single. On the plus side, the room was clean and breakfast was decent. If every other hotel in Windsor is booked, it might be worth it. (Though we had a much nicer room in a suburb of London for the same price. Wish we had stayed there instead.)

One night stay

My only critism is with Expedia - your hotel discription states free parking - it is not in fact it is 12 per night and has to be pre booked as there are limited spaces. I had to find a park elsewhere.
