Good no frills hotel

Pillows were very hard, breakfast well presented . The hotel is very well presented but seems dated, dining room reminds me of an old B&B,.That sid the staff were really nice and the hotel was warm, clean and resonably located.

Great Hotel for couples

Pros: Size of the room.
Location: Easily walkable from the station and town centre and conveniently located for road links.
We had a great stay at the Walton Cottage Hotel. The room was a great size, particularly considering the great value compared to other hotels in the area. Everything in the room was clean and faultless and the staff were always friendly and helpful. All in all a great experience!

Honest, Simple and Excellent Staff

Always a warm welcome, rooms are good if you choose executive, bit small if you don't! Restaurant is quiet but always welcoming, breakfast is full English and cereal, no continental though. WiFi bit hit and miss but generally good. Very close to Maidenhead centre, recommended hotel!

Pros: Breakfast
When I made the reservation I asked for a quiet room, away from the road - my allocated room was in the out-building and was noisy. When I told the receptionist she looked at my reservation and said "oh yes" (having clearly not bothered to read it initially) and gave me a different room (15) which was also in the out-building; it was small and dismal but slightly quieter than the first. In the morning the road noise woke me early so I asked to change room for the next night. The new room (45) was in the main bulding and was a reasonable size and quiet EXCEPT when water runs to an adjacent room - the noise then is like nothing I have experienced in a hotel before. On the plus side the breakfast was good. I am a frequent traveller with experience of business hotels in most parts of the World - I would not recommend this hotel, although the main building seems to be significantly nicer than the out building.

Excellent Hotel

This was one of the best hotels in which we have stayed. The comfort and cleanliness was second to none and the staff were very attentive and helpful. The location was ideal for us to visit Windsor in particular and very easy access to the motorway, etc.

Very welcoming. Given upgrade. Arrived late and arranged for a meal. Good eating available in walking distance when hotel meals not available. Breakfast ok and we'll presented. Useful location for the Windsor area.

Great value for money

Lovely friendly and helpful service; large clean, well equipped room; great shower. A bit Victorian in decor; Continental breakfast selection could have been better, but full English looked good if you like that kind of thing. Cannot fault it for the amount we paid.
