“a gracious and well kept place”

I would recomment this moderately priced hotel without reservation. It is a block from the Wittenberplatz U station, which is right across from one of the best department stores in Europe. The staff was always helpful, the room was clean and had high ceilings and was by-and-large quiet, except for a brief time very late Friday evening, when some German youths made a significant racket. Ah, youth...

“Mid size hotel with style”

Why it's called Air in Berlin Hotel, remains a mystery to me. However I would recommend this hotel without a doubt. It is located in an ideal corner of Berlin for tourism and business, a quiet street with bustle on all sides. It is well connected to all forms of transportation. The rooms are simple Scandanavian but comfortable. Breakfast is extra but a very good buffet. Wireless is perhaps the one fault. They offer T-Comm for which you can sign up. The prices are silly but I suppose that doesn't matter if you have a business account. Still offering wireless to your guests for free is a service that would make the hotel standout.

“Great historical building in the heart of Berlin!”

GREAT location & on a quiet street--very convenient to public transportation. Very nice staff. Wonderful bathroom facilities too (especially the tub!) Former residence of Marie Freud, Sigmund Freud's sister--interesting bit of trivia.

“Very friendly staff”

The hotel is in an old building, somewhat pleasant the layout not being so predictable as in most contemporay buildings. Also near the Tiergarten and very close to the Zoo, not too far from the National Gallery, Postdamer Platz and the Symphony Hall, where you can go on a 20 minutes walk. Overall I was satisfied, the staff was very friendly, breakfast was excellent, not included in the price, and the location fairly well centered, also the price was right.

“Will stay again”

Small hotel with very comfortable room and beds, loved the feather bedding, very warm as we were here in December. Centrally located a block off the Ku'damm near KaDeWe and the memorial church, great bakery around corner, hotel staff very accommodating and friendly, breakfast buffet expensive so we passed. Many good restaurants within short walking distance, U-bahn and bus stops less than a block in either direction, zoo/aquarium is 2 blocks away . Hotel is on quiet side street, great stop for evening night cap is on the corner by the park, perfect location for seeing this magnificent city. You come to see the city, not spend time in your room.

“Central Location / Quiet street”

Good location from which to experience Berlin. Close to underground station. Great little Greek restaurant right next door. Buffet deluxe continental breakfast was very nice. Small, modest but very well kept room--nicely done for an affordable hotel. Only downside was mattress -- not covered with mattress pad, so it "crackled!" Also, ask for extra pillow(s) as the one down pillow per person was not adequate.
