Good location and servicePosted Oct 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
We arrived at 10:45 am after an early flight and were given a room straight away. The location is very good, opposite a tram stop and close to Friedrichstrasse staion and Museum Island. It is at the less fashionble end of Friedrichstrasse which means there are some good local restaurants if you are prepared to explore. We were slightly worried initially about possible noise from the trams but the double glazing is excellent and there was only an occasional dull rumble. Comfortable bed, well laid out bathroom and nice touches like fresh apples every day. The lack of free wifi (and the difficulty of getting the paid-for wifi to work) was about the only drawback

Excellent design, great location.Posted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: Style and location.
Cons: Free wifi.
Location: Perfect location for a tourist.
This hotel is an excellent choice. The decoration is minimalist and the furniture is very contemporary. The square across the street and wall-to-wall windows provide for a lot of light. Its location is central and close to major tourist sites. The only drawback is the absence free wifi in the rooms.

Good hotel, convenient locationPosted Oct 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Modern decor, clean, quiet room, smallish but fine, had a desk which I used for work. Very convenient to u-Bahn, s-Bahn and central mitte. Lots of food options and services nearby. Free fruit on premises. Bar on premises which I used as a small meeting space during the day. Breakfast buffet next door very nice, about 10 e if you don't buy it included. Good coffee there too. My single queen bed was hard, I slept on my comforter. Service was polite and helpful. I had to buy Internet from Telekom separately (at the time, 5 / day or 20 for 600 hours), as the hotel network was down. Yes it is next to a funky art colony and yes you may see ladies of the night nearby (it is legal) but I did not feel bothered or unsafe at any time there, traveling as a single woman. The hotel building requires card access to elevators and for entry after hours. Massage therapy (therapeutic) is available in room via outside service by appointment. Not my all time favorite stay but very serviceable. I would recommend. Just politely tell them upfront if you have specific needs. They will make an effort to serve you.

Quirky, Brilliant LocationPosted Sep 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was in the Old Jewish Quarter of the old East Berlin and is more original than many parts of the city as it was protected from the same level of bombing. The restaurants in the same street were amazing. The room was good and adequate but the linens on the bed were dreadful very small pillows as were the quilts. The street side of the hotel is quite noisy although the windows are very well insulated.

Excellent LocationPosted Sep 18, 2013
Really friendly staff and great location. Although the Wifi is no longer free. There is a Eur 4.95 charge per day. Rooms looking out onto the Oranienburger Strasse are more impressive but a little noisy compared to the ones looking on to the inner courtyard. Overall though great value for money.

Hotel in good location to Berlin city centre and attractions. Room very comfortable and staff very courteous and helpful. Only problem was air conditioning in rooms! Did not work efficiently for our entire stay?
