Great place for singles or duos.
Loved this hotel! Centrally located and well kept. Not a lot of amenities, but you don’t need many when there’s this much around the area. Very clean and full of history. Will choose this place if in Berlin again!

This hotel is in a great location and the lobby and the room were beautiful. I was on the first floor next to the shared bathroom, with windows facing the courtyard. I saw no other guests in the hallway, so I effectively had the bathroom to myself. The service staff was lovely. The only suggestion would be to add a mirror to the room.

The hotel was just what I needed for my brief stay I. Berlin. My room was basic but perfectly fine and the bed was comfortable. I appreciated the air con machine! Bathrooms etc were clean. The location was quiet despite the railway nearby and I had two excellent nights of sleep.

Every room might be different but if they are all like ours - terrible. Grey walls, grey carpet, grey ceiling. It was like staying in a cave. Really poor lighting - couldn't see anything. Shabby room - cheap painted wardrobe (Grey), dirty carpet and paintwork. And I didn't pay good money to sleep on a futon! Terrible

Central location, handy for sightseeing
Hotel is nice. Some parts a bit dated and in need of redecorating. Lift not very accessible, so be prepared to climb steep stairs. Do not stay here if you're sleep is easily disturbed. Trains are very loud

Lovely hotel with friendly staff
Hotel is near the river and museums. It's a beautiful quirky hotel. The staff are so friendly. My 10 year old daughter and myself loved our time here and would highly recommend it.

Good location, friendly staff, but room condition was not like the photos. It was old and didn’t have an air con. Walking up the stairs with luggage with quite difficult too!

Stylish hotel, but shared bathrooms
Overall was a good stay, so lets see pros and cons; Pros: 1. Fast check-in, and super friendly and helpful staff 2. Nice reception area 3. Elevator 4. Solid Wifi 5. Spacious room with window overlooking nice courtyard (full of birds - 24H Noisy) 6. Clean room, the room is cleaned every day, and providing new towels 7. Airport TXL bus station, just in front of the hotel (Marschallbrucke stop) Cons: 1. No TV 2. No sink in room 3. Only one plug, and not near the bed 4. No luggage rack, so you need to put it on the floor 5. I did know about shared bathroom when booking, but none the less having to walk down the hall to use the bathroom is not amusing I recommend the hotel, I would stay again but next time i'll get a room with bathroom

Great Location
The hotel is in a prime location, but no air conditioning was a bit worrisome. There was a fan for the room, but it was portable. The bed was small but it is what I expect when traveling in Europe.

The hotel is located nearby rail tracks and trains are passing all night long. No air con in the rooms, and small double glazing. Hence rooms are really noisy with closed and open windows. We slept awfully. I was hugely disappointed.

Great location!
My room is comfy and clean, hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. You can walk to most of the scenic spots by walk. The only things that bothers me was the shower drain seems clogged? Overall hotel was amazing!! Looking forward to stay with you again!

Everything was clean and I felt safe. The walk from the train station is good and the area is nice. It's true, you can hear trains running. Luckily, I was on the far end away from the train track so it was bearable. The rooms right next to the track will probably be unbearable.

With the train tracka right beside the hotel it is almost impossible to sleep (even with earplugs). The room was shabby and lacked basic facilities like an ensuite, mirror, ironing board, air-conditioning. Not good value for money.

Berlin is fascinating, and this was a great place to be based for two nights. We had the "spy" room, quirky decor, no ensuite, but squeaky clean loo and showers a few steps down the corridor. We didn't actually see anyone else using the "facilities", so no problem there. Comfortable bed, no tea/coffee facilities or tv, but bar and breakfast facilities. Our room was very quiet, with lots of birdsong in the enclosed area our room looked out onto. Room wasn't tidied, but plenty of towels. This is a clean,comfortable hotel, offering no extras, but has lots of quirky style, and is perfect for a city trip when you are hardly in the room anyway. Helpful staff re local area information. PS don't bother with the tourist bus, which is expensive and we couldn't find any of the bus stops. Local transport is easy, plentiful and MUCH cheaper. Breakfast was good and a nice easy start to our first day, but again, there is a lovely cafe a little way up the road, which does amazing breakfasts for less.
