“optimum choice”
this hotel is a nice place to stay at! Any penny you spend on it, worth it!
“More than perfect”
It is my third visit to Germany, the first to Berlin, yet it was the best of the all. This is due to many factors the most important of which is the hotel I was residing at thanks to Expedia.
“Terrible Hotel”
what to say.....is there any word than worst......please help me to pick a word... it is terrible hotel. 1. The carpet is dirty and 2. The frontdesk people are rude, and 3. Breakfast are really so so. DO NOT STAY WITH THIS ONE:
“Really one strong reason to go back to Berlin.”
Bla ha, bla ha.
“Large modern commercial hotel in great location”
The sushi bar in the hotel is trendy with loud Euro-house music, but there are lots of good restaurants in the area (see Tripadvisor - we found a terrific Chinese place nearby) - don't need the 8E breakfast (a nice cafe - left out the front door, left at corner, right at Joachimstrasse, and then right at next block Cafe Pifi or something like it - it's closer than this sounds, 3 minute walk). The hotel itself is a big modern block - like a US Sheraton or similar - typical coverlets and 2 twin beds pushed together, no alarm clock (but you can get a wake up call), minibar, decent size closet, small shower with the plastic pouches of shampoo - you only get one for your stay regardless of the number of days. Location is fabulous - close to the zoo and the major West Berlin boulevard and tons of shopping, restaurants etc. Be aware that most of the charming smaller stores, restaurants and shops do not take credit cards. The hotel's exchange rates were only a couple of cents higher than the other exchanges on the street near the zoo. If you're coming in from the airport and want to save about 15E, take the 109 bus for 2.5E (buy ticket AB from the machine for one-way and validate it by pushing the ticket in a machine on the bus). Get off at Ulandstrasse stop (the buses have electronic signs that tell you the stop) - walk half a block along the same direction the bus was going on Kurfdamm and then make a right on Meinkestrassse. The hotel is about 2 blocks down on the left.
“Good value for money”
A bit touristic,but good value
“Peaceful in Berlin”
The hotel was easy to find and within walking distance from the train station. We were greeted pleasurably, processed quickly, and the room was quiet and comfortable. There was ample space in the bathroom, and the mattresses were comfortable. The air conditioning was easy to regulate and worked properly. Overall, we had a very positive experience here.
“Great Location”
We did not realize breakfast was not included and reception staff explanation did not fully explain cost was per person, not for room with breakfast. Breakfast was very expensive and skimpy by German standards and poor quality--canned or frozen fruit, one small sweet selection, few breads, etc. Reception desk very helpful with tour info, contacting airline and answering questions. Air-conditioning was wonderful and room was comfortable.
“BERLIN”
the Hotel is nice only I had trouble with getting calls from the U.S.A. forwarded to my phone in the room The nite frontdesk person was not very friendly and not helpfull to forward the call to my room A lot of my friends had trouble reaching me in the Hotel room
“No frills, but a good home base”
The hotel was a basic place, with reasonable comfort and cleanliness. Note that the wireless internet was quite expensive and did not work in one of our 2 rooms. The location near the Zoo station is good. We took a bus to the hotel from the airport (20 minutes), and public transport connections around the city were excellent. There is a good neighborhood Italian restaurant on the same block. For inexpensive meals with lots of fresh vegetables, you cannot beat the Marche, a couple of blocks away on the Ku' damm.
