“Nice hotel at a great location”

Right off the Ku'dam, and very close to a U-bahn station, my wife and I stayed at the Berlin Plaza. Our experience was very positive: nice hotel, helpful & friendly staff, clean room - albeit a bit small, but not a problem. We were pleased that our room for two had a double bed, and not the European norm of two adjacent single beds. Free wi-fi was also one of the reasons for our choice. The in-room safe was spacious enough for a laptop. The location of the flat-screen TV precluded watching while in bed. There's a food market just down the street, and the hotel minibar had space for a few of our drinks. Breakfast was included in our very reasonable room price, and it was good, as expected.

“Wonderful hotel.”

Lovely hotel, small but very nice room. Great amenities. Extremely functional. Everything you need, but the bed was uncomfortable. Needs a new mattress. Charming restaurant. Fabulous location.

“Uncomfortable during hot periods.”

It was extremely hot during our stay, so the room was not comfortable during the nights, so an air condition would have been appreciated. The surroundings were extremely noisy, as air conditions from other buildings nearby made an awful noise.

“Good value”

The hotel is located in one of my favorite neighborhoods, close to tram and underground lines. Very good value with full breakfast. the only drawback was that the wi-fi didn't work with my iphone and the in-room internet service was worse than snail-pace. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Other

Highly recommend taking the Fat Tire Bike Tour of the City. I had a wonderful guide from Wales and the group was very friendly but not imposing. Great way to see the city especially for those who've seen the major sights already.

“Berlin Plaza Hotel am Kurfuerstendamm”

Everything was good. Beautiful and varied breakfast. A great place to find the center of western Berlin. The main problem in the summer - No air conditioning in the rooms. Some rooms with balconies, need to ask in advance.

“Great location.”

Everything was OK in general. Too noisy in the mornings. You have to pull the doors too hard to close them. The day I left they called a taxi for me but it never got there. Nobody seemed to care. I walked 50 meters to the avenue and got one.

“Berlin Plaza Hotel”

Very disappointed with the type of bed provided. It's smaller than a twin bed with hard cushion or no cushion at all. I used my comforter/bed cover to cushion the bed mattress. My room was next to the elevator and it was a noisy elevator. I slept the whole morning and it was very noisy, the housekeepers were doing a demolition job, I just realized my room was next to their storage of supplies. The elevator is so small, one morning it was not working maybe they were fixing/cleaning, and nobody from the front desk informed the customers. I was waiting until I had to took the stairs. I can not believe this Hotel does not provide a small bottle of lotion, shampoo & conditioner. Even a cheap Hotel in the United States of America will provide the basic necessities. The hotel provided only one towel per day - an old dirty looking towel which needs to be recycled and should be sent to the third world countries for the refugees. Only one pillow provided - a very soft pillow, guys what are you thinking, we are paying the right dollar, why are you treating your customers like this ? I have to ask for a second pillow so I can elevate my head at night. Your hotel is beyond standards. The ladies on the front desk were very pleasant and helpful but the guy who works at night was not so pleasant. The only positive on this Hotel was free WIFI, that's why I choose this Hotel.

“Great Breakfast”

The hotel was old but very nice close to U-Bahn and a bit of a walk from the S-Bahn. This area surrounding the hotel is upscale and nice for walking. The room itself was pretty standard but wireless internet was complementary. The best part of all was the serve yourself breakfast.

“One of Berlin's Best!”
