“Berlin hotel near Spandau train station”
This is a beatiful, ultra-modern hotel in a quiet neighborhood a good distance from the city center. However, the Spandau train station is nearby and a bus from the station drops off within a short walk to the hotel. The staff speaks English and is friendly and helpful.
“Very friendly service and excellent breakfast buffet”
The Centrovital Hotel is located in the Spandau area of Berlin. It is located about a couple blocks from the nearest U-Bahn station(and a small amusement park). The hotel restaurant menu selection did not appeal to my wife and I but may appeal to other guests. There are a couple other restaurants nearby (one named the Mississippi Restaurant and Bar). We did enjoy the breakfast buffet and had a great view of Spandau Lake from the seating area. There is a nice swimming pool and exercise area but we did not use them. There is also some good shopping nearby as well. Our only complaint was that the pillows were too flat and the mattresses were too hard but overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel.
“Will be returning!”
This hotel was outstanding!!! We got way more than the price we paid. The staff was polite and very helpful. Being young travelers, we ask the receptionist for information regarding the local nightclubs. She asked us to check back in an hour and when we did she had a list of the top 10 clubs in town. The full breakfast was the BEST I have ever had at any hotel. Now matter how late I went to bed I made it a point to make it to breakfast. The pool and sauna were the perfect way to end a long day of sightseeing. We can't wait to go back to Berlin and already know we will be staying here again! The only negative would be that the rooms had no AC.
“Impressed”
the hotel itself is fenomenal. The only thing found a bit disturbing were planes landing airport nearby, flying over hotel starting around 6 am. Everything else is just perfect.
“3 words: spa, spa, spa”
The hotel is a bit of a drive from Tegel or the Spandau station, but taxis are readily available. Additionally, you can use the local bus service to get to both the airport and the train station. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable but if you want a romantic stay remember the double beds are two single beds pushed together. The bathroom is large and bright. I enjoyed the free mineral water in the refrigerator. LAN is available free but you must request a room with internet connections, and bring a LAN cable or ask for one from the front desk, no wireless. Fitness center/pool/sauna is free if you are a guest at the hotel. Best fitness center I have ever visited. The pool was a perfect warm temperature for relaxing after a long flight. They offer aqua classes and all you have to do is join in. As a hotel guest you have access to two towels and a bathrobe, which come in handy in the Sauna area. I recommend that you bring some flip-flops. Your wrist sensor can be used to purchase drinks and snacks. The Sauna is to die for. I was in heaven. Six different types of rooms: 90-degree C sauna, 60-degree C sauna, steam room, two different aromatic rooms, ice room and plunge pool. It is customary that remove your swimsuit, but if you are shy you can keep your towel on. I love staying at Centrovital, because it has a small city charm that is lacking in central Berlin. You can access downtown using the S-bahn or U-bahn.
“Cute Hotel on the outskirts of Berlin”
It was nice to be able to visit the busy city and then come back to a comfortable, home-like setting in a small quiet area.
“Modern "Project"”
Room was small but efficient and clean. Shower design was nice to look at but not practical in keeping all drops of water in. Design features were modern but felt like an experimental project. The hotel's breakfast was very opulent (19 Euro). The hallway floors are hard and noisy. One particular worker, the floor manager, walked noisily, heels clicking, back and forth, back and forth, very early in the morning.
“Pretty good”
Overall a good stay. The 10 minute crowded bus ride from the hotel to the nearest subway station (how you access the city) kind of annoyed me but the multiple saunas, two swimming pools, hot tub and massage theripists at this hotel made up for it in my opinion. This hotel is a spa hotel and is really nice and relaxing. The restiraunt is small but the food is good. U.S.A is #1.........boo-ya
“Great hotel.. fabulous room.. avoid the restaurant!”
Stayed there for 3 nights at the beginning of November. Booked a room for 3 but when we arrived we were given a room with one double bed - quick word to reception and it was sorted within minutes. Room was clean, free bottles of water in the fridge. CNN was the only English TV channel but then most people don't stay in a hotel to watch TV. Not much in the way of dining options in the area - avoid the hotel restaurant, very expensive and terrible food! Transport system in the area is amazing and if you ask at the reception they'll supply a railmap and let you know what buses to take. Overall, excellent hotel. Particularly the breakfast!
“Healthy, wholesome and somewhat noisy”
New, clean and kind. Amazing gym and pool and a breakfast second to none. A bit of noise from planes taking off from the nearby airport (only in daytime) and a fairly long commute to central Berlin; the latter not an issue as the standard of public transportation is high.
