A comfortable hotel in the centre of BerlinPosted Dec 3, 2013
Pros: The hotel is clean, modern with comfortable quiet rooms.
Cons: I found it difficult to find fault.
Location: The hotel is, as it's name suggests, right in the centre of the old West Berlin city centre. The world famous Zoo and Aquarium are just a short stroll
We have stayed in this hotel on several occasions and enjoyed this last one. Our room was ready when we arrived at 1100. Booking in was quick and professional and in no time we were on our way to the Christmas Market. Our stay in Berlin was that much better knowing we had a good, reasonably priced and comfortable hotel to return to. I would use this hotel on my next visit, if available.

Pros: Location, decor and cleanliness.
Cons: Bathrooms could be refurbished.
Location: Very centrtal location. Plethora of shops and restaurants. Berlin Zoo on doorstep.
Very good hotel in excellent location for shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. Mostly all staff spoke very good English. Drinks and eating in hotel rather expensive. Good size rooms. One negative, there was no free wi-fi in room.

Good hotel. 10 mins walk from Zoo Garden U/S-bahnPosted Nov 11, 2013
Pros: Cleanliness was excellent Decent, comfortable rooms
Cons: Internet costs are outrageous
Location: v. close to Kaiser Wilhelm memorial church. We found the new church to be an amazing oasis of calm.
Good hotel, but aimed at business travellers not vacationers. Breakfast, bar etc all massively overpriced (fine if the company is picking up the tab!), so go round the corner to one of the bakery cafes where you can get a decent breakfast for 5 euros. Room was excellent, comfortable and clean. Double bed is actually two single beds pushed together, though. My main issue was with the lack of free internet. Again, this is due to this hotel not being aimed at vacationers but at business-people who flash the company card.

Good location, but some staff...Posted Nov 5, 2013
Pros: Location and Comfort!!
Cons: Hotel's staff and be clearer on what is free or not in the room.Free internet voucher is not free in the end. Some staffers need empathy...
Location: At acceptable distance of all major attractions within the centre.
Excellent location!!! One problem was the request for a Queen size bed was transformed into two single beds the first night and some of the Hotel's staff could have been more helpful but the matter was resolved the next night. Having booked through Expedia seems to be a problem. Both Expedia and Crown Plaza could have made clearer that "Client's request" on Bed is subject to availability. Some Hotel's staff might have "pb" with people booking through 1/3 parties but either you accept or refuse them. I would recommend this hotel but I would be honest, there is room for improvement.

Great Hotel just round the corner from KADEWE!Posted Nov 3, 2013
Pros: Very comfortable, great location
Cons: Tried to get session with beautician, difficult to arrange, in the end did not take a session
Location: Just round the corner from U-Bahn, KaDeWe, main shopping. Could walk to Theatre where we saw War Horse Fantastic Meal at Austrian Restaurant nearby

Close enough to the subways to get around the cityPosted Nov 1, 2013
Pros: Helpful staff, very nice continental breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms.
Location: Is next to the Kaiser Wilhem Church but any other sights are a train ride away - the trains are easily navigated.
The airport lost my luggage and the hotel staff were great in communicating with them and sorting it out. We like Crowne Plaza as we know what we're getting service wise and the Berlin one didn't let us down!

Great locationPosted Oct 25, 2013
The hotel is really well located for the Ku'damm and around the corner is the stop for buses that will take you to many of the sights - Reichstag, Unter den Linden, Museum Island. Our room was clean but we had to keep turning the heating down and the entire hotel was (IMO) overheated. Breakfasts were terrific. My only gripe was that usual Wifi bugbear. I can just about tolerate hotels wanting to charge for wifi in rooms but this hotel doesn't even offer free wifi in its lobby or public rooms - as many hotels of this calibre do!

Nice hotel very handy for shopping and the zoo,Posted Oct 5, 2013
Pros: Reception areas bars, leisure facilities
Cons: WIFI facility should be available throughout hotel and free as in most good hotels.
Location: Good access to shops ,zoo, transport
Hotel was handy fir accessing all modes of transport. Hotel was very comfortable with good facilities. Disappointing that there was no free wifi in the hotel either in the rooms or main reception areas, so we would probably look to stay somewhere else which offers that facility next time. The staff were very pleasant both at reception and in the restaurant, and breakfast was of a good standard too. Berlin is a first class city visit and we will be returning !
