Good location and competitive pricesPosted Nov 3, 2012 on Hotels.com
No frills hotel with bare bones amenities...but if you want "bang for your buck" this place certainly provides that. Reception was polite and professional...Breakfast was better than I was expecting and the location was very central and close to the shopping district. I would certainly recommend for a short stay. Only complaint was the wi-fi strength was poor from the room. I had to come down to the lobby in order to use the internet...lighting in the bathroom was poor...could have been more brightly lit.

Great value for moneyPosted Oct 10, 2012
Pros: Breakfast, location, price
Cons: Shower (it was hand held) - fine for us but we would end up with lots of water on the floor.
Location: In West Berlin - close to high end designer shops - many nice restaurants - 10 min walking distance to S bahn.
Good location in West Berlin, older hotel but we were very satisfied.

Great older hotel in a good locationPosted Sep 24, 2012
Pros: The breakfast buffet
Cons: One evening there was a large group of students who were a little noisey.
Location: It's a good location near the Adenauer Platz U Bahn and near Olivear Platz.
The hotel has character dating back to pre World War II times. The staff was helpful and the breakfast buffet was wonderful.

nice hotelPosted Aug 26, 2012 on Hotels.com
Europa City had a nice feel of staying in a European hotel in the 1980s. The staff were courteous, and the building is quaint, but needs some maintenance. Overall, it is a great bargain for the price and in a very nice neighborhood in the South-West part of Berlin. It's a good 7 minute walk to the U-bahn, but in a safe location. It had all the basic amenities of a 3 star hotel, and was clean.

Great hotel for a small familyPosted Aug 9, 2012
Pros: location, spacious room, breakfast, service
Cons: small elevator (but not a big deal)
Location: On several bus lines and U7 subway. Not far away from S-bahn.
I can only give good words to this hotel. Our family (2 adults and 1 child) stayed 4 days at Europa City. The hotel is very well maintained and the staff are courteous and professional. The room is spacious with high roof and large windows. It has 2 twin size beds put together and a converted bed for the kid. Mattress is comfortably firm. There is a small elevator which can take 2 adults a time, so most of time we walked up & down the stair. Since we live in NYC, it is not a tough job, but I can understand why others complain about it. The hotel provides free breakfast, which as other indicated is adequate. There are not many selections of vegetables, but lots of cold-cut, sausage and eggs. One day they ran out of vegetables, so they provide a different kind of sausage. I guess it is the German way :)) The commute to the TXL airport is very convenient by taking the bus #109 at Olivaer Platz. Overall we are very satisfied of our stay.

Perfect location for a short trip to Berlin!Posted Jul 22, 2012 on Hotels.com
Central location, plenty of bars and restaurants, English-speaking staff - this hotel is perfect for a short trip to Berlin. Negative remarks: Beds are extremely uncomfortable for a couple and the WiFi is pretty slow. Breakfast is not worth getting up for.

Will stay here againPosted May 10, 2012
The hotel is clean and staff are very friendly and helpful although their English is limited. The stairs are poorly maintained - a real health and safety issue as my shoes got stuck in the holes in the carpet and I almost fell over. This needs immediate attention. The beds though comfortable have a space in between as they are two singles beds pushed together. It is impossible for a couple to sleep comfortably like this. The breakfast was modest but good enough (could have more vegetarian options). Elevator is really outdated and small (only 2 persons can comfortably fit). Need more pillows on beds as the pillows are too soft and only 1 per person.

This is a great deal if you are traveling on a tight budget. The place is a bit run down but it is located in a very nice area in Berlin, with lots of access to public transportation. The hotel could also improve the strength of its wireless connection. Overall, I had a very nice experience at that place.

Good hotel, good locationPosted Jun 19, 2011
Overall very satisfied. Room was nice, clean, comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Good location. Two things to note are that parking is on the street and will cost you (not a surprise in a bog city like Berlin), but at a discounted rate. Also the elevator is quite small, but in an old building I was not really expecting any elevator at all. I would stay here again.
