“Wonderful location and services”
The hotel was very nice. Everyone was extremely pleasant. The hotel is right outside a train station which is very convenient. It is also within close distance to historical sites, shopping, and restaurants. You can catch a tour bus right next to the hotel. The only negatives were the shower door leaked and we had to put towels on the floor to soak up the water from our showers. We had to ask for a sheet for our bed since there was only a bedspread which was too hot. They were very good and immediately got us the sheet though. There was a breakfast buffet but we were unsure whether or not that was included in our rate. It would have been nice for this to have been made clear. There is not free internet which can also be a problem. However, the location and amenities of the hotel more than made up for these minor negatives.
“Great location, service, and comfort”
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to lots of major sites and museums as well as modes of transpo. The staff was great and I can say I've never had a better check-in experience with the front desk making recommendations to a great Indian restaurant north of the river my first night in. I definitely enjoyed my 4 night stay there. I used room service once and the service was really quick and delicious (the wiener schnitzel was great). Only complaint are the aggressive maids who walked in on me a few times (though I had forgotten to put up the 'do not disturb' sign!). Internet access is really pricey (17 Euro for the 'economy' package a night) but I suppose most people who stay at a Hilton are on the company dime and expense it anyway. If you are traveling for leisure it's actually a rip-off. Overall highly recommended.
“More than I expected”
The location is fabulous, everything is within waking distance, the metro station is in front of the hotel, the employees at counter area are very friendly, the concierge are great, very helpful and cooperative. My only complaint is that breakfast is very expensive. You do have some alternatives around that you can explore nearby. I recommend this hotel and I will stay on it again as I have the opportunity.
“Could not have chosen better!!!”
My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Hilton Berlin and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The hotel is very modern and newly refurbished. The rooms are nicely decorated but a bit too 'brown' to my taste - brown coloured walls, brown curtains and one panel brown leather wall make the room quite dark. The staff at the hotel are very polite and helpful and we were given 2 hours complimentary late check out which we appreciated a lot. The breakfast is plentiful with a wide choice and the view from the breakfast room onto Gendarmenmarkt is well worth finding a table near the window in the morning. The hotel is near most of the main attractions and you can walk to a lot of them. Stadmitte metro line U2 is literally outside the hotel door but only as long as you know which exit to take when you are in the station (look for the direction to line U2 and then take the exit towards Gendarmenmarkt). Apart from the nearby attractions, Sanssouci Park is well worth a visit and can be reached quite easily by taking the S-Bahn to Potsdam followed by a bus ride. The city of Potsdam as well is very pretty and worth a visit. Anybody looking for asian (chinese/ indian) food in Berlin, head to Mirchi or Amrit which are both in Oranienburger on metro line U6. We had a great stay in Berlin and at the Hilton and would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone.
“très bon hôtel bien situé”
hôtel à l'esthétique un peu "kitch" (neuf ou restructuré ?) avec piscine et salle de muscu, beau salon et belle salle de petit-déjeuner, deux restaurants à côté (non testés) ; bien situé dans quartier commercial, non loin des galeries lafayettes : très beau magasin (architecture) ; non loin de la postdamer platz (quartier branché et galeries marchandes) ; service et propreté : très bien.
“Smoke gets in your eyes in 5 star Berlin”
Wonderful hotel in the center of Berlin - excellent location! But the cigarette smoke everywhere in the hotel lobby area was terrible, certainly not a place for anti-smokers or asthmatics.
“Bruit”
Une source de bruits nocturnes, certaines nuits, venant de la cour centrale mais non identifiable exactement est gênante et anormale dans un hôtel de cette classe.
“sehr gute Lage, gerne wieder”
Personal und Service waren zuvorkommend
“A splendid retreat”
Exceptional customer ans service with a decor second to none. All the staff spoke excellent english and all of the services provided were 5X - reflected in the price, so not for the budget traveller. Very popular with conferences and business types located in the Gendenmarket which in itself is a lovely square with various cafes and open air concerts in July.Recommend trying the spa and treatments, reasonably priced, and bookable. The meals in the various restaurents and bar area are splendid but costly, there's numerous less costly prices near by such as the Bavarian Lowenbrau beerkeller 120metres away with hearty if not calorie laden meat dishes and over 20 choices of beer.24 hour taxi rank outside the hotel. If you know some german I found it was appreciated that you tried to speak the local language. Note that the lift's are operated by a swipe of your room card and not merely by pressing a button. We found that sometimes the card didn't work despite being replaced and wiped, perhaps a case of too much technology!
“Quality property in pleasant location”
Typical Hilton property. Staff were efficient, helpful and the hotel is well run. Some of the decor is a bit dated but its a minor point really. There is a nice gym and pool ..but watch out for the add on charge to use the sauna and steam rooms which is perhaps a bit cheeky. Lovely location overlooking a historic leafy square in an upscale district of the city.
