“Good Airport Hotel”

Good hotel, close to Berlin Schoenefeld Airport. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, the staff efficient and courteous. My flight was cancelled due to poor weather and the airport running out of de-icing fluid and I had to spend an extra night in Berlin in order to catch the next flight in the morning. The Holiday Inn had a great rate on Expedia and was conveniently located next to the Berlin Schoenefeld Airport with shuttle service every 20 minutes. I was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. I would highly recommend this hotel if you need to spend a night close to the airport.

“Short and sweet”

I was only in the hotel for a very short time due to a very early flight, but the shuttle service from Schoenefeld worked well and the room was excellent.

“Very disappointed”

I choose this hotel because I had to sleep one night at Berlin for a conection flight and it seemed to be a good price and well located. The staff was very friendly and the shuttle bus is very convenient and is easy to find from the metro station and from the airport thanks to the signboards. What was bad?... the wi-fi is not free; the bed was very uncomfortable for me(but my wife says it was ok); you are in the middle of nothing so you must use the restaurant of the hotel if you want to dinner or breakfast or drink water or buy a coke, etc. and off course their prices are quite high so the real price ends over the average. If you are travelling for business or you have an early flight in the morning is a good choice, otherwise is better to stay at the city.

“Only when you've got an early flight.”

In the middle of nowhere, I felt like we were the only guests. Nowhere to walk to and nothing to do unless it was inside the hotel. Shuttle service was the only out to get to the airport for food and snacks. One shuttle driver acted as if he was doing us a real favor. Too bad he didn't realize it was his job. We had an early flight and had to be to the airport before 6 so the hotel served as a place to sleep and get us to the airport on time. If I didn't have an early flight, I'd never stay here. Good hotel if you get in late the night before you leave on a really early flight. 2nd floor wifi is horrible. You have to connect with ethernet in order to use the PAID internet connection.

“Not good enough for the cost”

Don't want to waste too much time with a wordy negative review so here are a few points I had objections with at the hotel: 1. remote for television didn't work. Took 30 minutes for someone to check. 2. No wifi free or otherwise. 3. Air Con temp control didn't work so no heating. 4. Paid 11 euro for pay tv which was 6 channels , 2 blue movie, 1 German movie , 1 English movie which played every second movie in German anyway , 1 Eurosport and bundesliga German football. Zero value for money unless you wanted the blue movies. 5. No room service on the day we were there. Had to go to the bar and get food made and carry it past other guests up to the room. 6. There were coffee cups and a kettle but to open the plastic bag with coffee and tea sachets you had to pay. Regardless of the cost this should be free at a four star hotel. I booked this hotel on an Expedia non listed deal and am sorry I chose this deal over a hotel closer to central Berlin. Complete disappointment.
