Pros: lobby was nice
Cons: room cleaness
Location: nothing- hotel next to airoprt
the winmdow in my room was not opening and although i did request for this to be fixed( a small key was needed for the window to fully open ) i wasignored. I did request a smoking free room but the smell from previous users was very strong ( especially with an almost closed window) The dinner in the rstaurant was good but overpriced

Overnight StayPosted Sep 12, 2013
I stayed for one night arriving at approx 10pm and left the following morning at 9am. My room was very comfortable, clean and well furnished so no complaints there. A couple of things to note though; - The shuttle bus on the way from the airport, the driver stopped and posted some letters (which was no problem) but then we sat there for 10 minutes for no apparent reason. When you're tired after travelling, you just want to get to the hotel, so this was a little annoying. - More annoyingly though, I was due to meet a colleague back at the airport in the morning. I double checked the time the shuttle bus was due to go to the airport when I checked in, and also when I checked out. When the bus arrived I wasn't allowed onto it as I hadn't reserved a place, but NOBODY AT ANY POINT MENTIONED TO ME THAT I SHOULD RESERVE A PLACE!!! - Breakfast is expensive at 20 Euros (though there is a very good choice). I would stay again (now I know the form with the shuttle bus).

Great stay in between flights.Posted Jun 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
We flew in from Hungary and had a next day flight. The hotel is only a few driving minutes from the airport, and the shuttle bus driver arrived in minutes at the airport and was very friendly. The hotel is very nice; has been recently redone. We had a very nice dinner at the restaurant and were very pleased with our stay. If there is anything negative to say it is that the hotel is in no-man's-land---literally; in front of the hotel is a roughly 12 feet high and 4 feet wide piece of the Berlin wall. According to a little sign, that is an original piece of the Berlin wall that had stood only a few meters from where it is displayed. You would have to walk 20 min or so to get to the railway station; we did not try that though, so this is only an estimate.

Not the best hotel I have stayed in.Posted Feb 24, 2013
Pros: Food and service in the restaurant
Cons: Cold rooms and misleading website with WiFi access
Location: Ok, close to the airport, which makes it convenient to catch an early flight.
On my arrival a room I got was cold. When I mentioned this in the reception I got a reply: "So you want to change the room". Maybe something was lost in translation, but I found it a bit off-putting. The next room was a bit warmer, although I would say only just to be able to sit in it. The next thing, which I did not like was the WiFi. When trying to log in I got a couple of options. One of them was "Free WiFi for guests". It turned to be just a free access to ONE website - a website advertising a company providing WiFi in hotels, conferences, etc. The normal access to WiFi was of course paid and the rates were a bit steep. This is not a phenomena specific to this Holiday Inn, most of hotel does it. But if you cater mainly for business travellers, I can't see any reason not to provide free and EASY access to WiFi. WiFi is not a luxury any more. It costs very, very little to provide it in a hotel, so I can't see any reason for charging up to 20% of a room fee for the access to it. This should be provided like a warm room - something which anybody takes nowadays for granted. On the bright side, the food and service in the restaurant was good. There is also a convenient shuttle to and from the hotel to the airport.

Not to the Holiday Inn standards!!!Posted Feb 12, 2013
Cons: Customer service
Location: OK and close to the airport but not waking distance
Checkout was the longest I have every experienced. No greeting in the morning and no conversation but 2 staff members who seemingly wanted to take so long to do their job. I was not greeted in the morning and I was not told thankyou for staying. Also failed to provide a receipt for the room which I had to return to get. Now the biggest issue of all was their free bus transport to the airport. I boarded the bus to the airport along with 8 other people. No communication from the driver from the beginning and then we arrived at a building that had an airport name written across the front but was more within an indistrial estate. Most people got off and my bag was placed on the floor outside the bus. Thinking this was the drop off point since the driver was not communicating I exited the bus and when picking my bag up he drove away. It seems they have 2 drop off points with the airport located 1/2 mile away from where I was left. I then walked to the airport through the rain.. Very poor service from start to finish.

It is necessary to take the hotel shuttle bus because it is not possible to walk. The bus runs every 30 mins and will also if you wish call at the railway station. I was only in the hotel 1 night but they were very friendly, it is really very modern - so it is very convenient if you arrive late as I did. The only qualm I had was there were just 2 towels in the bathroom.
