“Recommended”

This hotel in a quieter neighborhood, but still being close enough to a U-bahn station to make it easily accessible. Also the hotel location is convenient for walking to and from Hackescher Market. The room was comfortable and clean. The single room I stayed in cannot be shared with a roommate though, since the shower is not in a separate room from the beds.

I booked this hotel for a long weekend with my girlfriend as her 30th birthday, and I really couldn't of done any better. We arrived at Schonefeld airport, got the X7 bus from right outside to Rudow underground station, and had to make 1 change to get to Weinmasterstrasse Underground ( we changed at Hermannplatz I think) which is a 30second walk to the hotel. The breakfast was lovely, a good range of fried breakfast, cereals, yoghurts, breads, meats and cheeses as well as fresh coffee and juices. We helped ourselves to many servings, and it was self service which we preferred. I thought it was a little expensive but we enjoyed it anyway. Also I would definately reccomend doing a coach trip through Expedia, we did the one that gets you entrance to Maddam Tusauds also, and it was worth every penny. Nice new coaches, and you see all the sights. Make sure you go up the TV tower, there is a great bar at the top where you can enjoy a hot chocolate or a black beer whilst looking for miles around. You have to buy a ticket which gives you a specific time you go up the lift, but once your up there you can stay as long as you want. All in all, I loved our mini break, and I have visited quite a few European countries, but this was my first in Germany, and I will definately be returning when the sun comes out!

have stayed in many hotels in this area and this rates well. just opened so spotless and eager staff. bar was great. didn't have b-fast there. close to transit and many shops and restaurents. wd stay again!

“Very nice central hotel in Berlin”

Great hotel! Obviously a LOT of money has been spent on the refurbishment of the hotel. Upon arriving at reception I was very pleased to be speaking to a member of staff who spoke very clear English. After a small hiccup where my surname had been entered onto their system incorrectly, I was quicky given my room card and sent on my way with directions to my room. The room was excellant! Very modern decorated, cosy, very adequate, very clean. My room had its own safe for you to use. TV, free wi-fi (get username and password from reception.) The bathroom was fitted with very modern fixtures & shower/bath combo. As per my last hotel review for Expedia, I did not eat in the hotel and instead eat out a lot to see as much of the city as possible. But there were numerous restaurants and places to eat around the hotel and in Berlin generally. There were a couple of market stores within 5 minutes walk of the hotel for anything you may need (snacks, drinks, toiletries (the hotel also had vending machines with some goods available.)) The Berlin underground was only a couple of minutes walk away from the hotel. When booking the Amano I did read a couple of negative reviews regarding the hotel. I can only assume that these people were booked during the refurbishment and would advise them to go back and visit the Amano again now that the work is over. Hotel Amano = 5* from me!

The rooms are modern and pleasant. It certainly felt like we got value for money through Expedia. The hotel was very close to the metro, and also to some bars and restaurants, which was very convenient. We didn't have any problems at all. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, and in Berlin.

“Great Location for nightlife but not noisy”

Hotel Amano was a great place to stay. It's very stylish, comfortable, and ten minutes walk to alexander platz. The breakfast was extensive and you can eat in nice surroundings. The only downside were the lack of tea and coffee faciliites in the room, and the pricey bar. There are loads of other bars nearby.

“Good cost performance”

I only stayed for two nights. The location is convenient, very near to the subway station. The facilities in the room are practical and clean. The best thing is the free high-speed internet in the room. The only flaw is the noise from outside, becoz the hotel is on the side of a narrow street. Generally it is a good place to stay for me.
