Excellent choicePosted Nov 12, 2013
Pros: Peaceful, spotlessly clean, good location
Cons: An Engish channel on the tv is the only thing!
Location: Not far from underground connections Mitte district has numerous coffee bars and eating places, many in old preserved buildings.
We spent 3 nights at Hotel Adelante. The hotel is hard to fault. The rooms are comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. It is a very peaceful environment, heating levels just right and no unwanted noise. Staff are young, positive and helpful. Not far away from the hotel and not to be missed is a memorial park/outdoor museum for the Wall, this is away from the main tourist area and a really interesting place to visit. On a Sunday there is a flea market a little further on in a nearby park. This was our second visit to Berlin, there is so much to do and we hope to return before long.

Great stay!Posted Jul 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
My husband and I went to Berlin for two days (one overnight stay) and it was our first time in the city. We found the hotel to be very comfortable and we were able to walk to dinner, shopping and even Museum Island as well. The hotel room was much larger than anticipated with a spacious bathroom and bedroom. Upon arrival, the hotel's car park was full so they provided us with a coupon for street parking at a discounted rate. The streets felt safe and we had no problem parking/walking around at night. We would stay here again if we found our way back to Berlin!

Nice hotel, could have been closer to sitesPosted Jul 21, 2013
Pros: It's clean and quiet and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. There weren't any kids staying at the hotel that we could see.
Cons: A set of drawers to put my clothes in would have been nice.
Location: There are restaurants and coffee shops near by. The closest "tourist" spot is about a mile away.
The hotel is fairly basic. People were nice. English is spoken. Rooms are soundproof and clean. Our double bed was two singles pushed together, but we enjoyed the effect that neither of us felt the other tossing and turning in bed. One drawback: There was no set of drawers to put your clothes in. There is a wardrobe with hangers, but with 2 of us spending a week we had to live out of our suitcases (not fun). The rooms are "smart" -- take your room key out of the slot and the lights turn off, as does the digital clock so that you have to reset the time every time you return to your room. It took us a few days to figure out that the AC kicks in ONLY if the windows are closed when you turn it on, resulting in 2 really hot nights for us. The hotel isn't far from the major Berlin attractions but it's off the beaten path -- there are plenty of hotels that are closer to the main sights. We didn't mind that, but it meant retracing our steps back to key points each day. There are trolleys a block or so away, but we chose to walk. The hotel is in a residential neighborhood which was pleasant and safe; if you're looking for a lavish, bustling area to stay in, this isn't it. There's no pool or gym or bar, but those weren't necessary items for us. I enjoyed the cacophony of bells that rang each day at noon.

Excellent place to stay!!Posted Jul 20, 2013
Pros: The best part about this hotel was the staff and family that owns it. Great people. Thank you Jost, Sabina, Vanessa and Ernany!
Location: Great places to eat and public transport within walking distance
Market right across the street and nice places to eat. Underground about a 10 min walk and main Underground and train station about 15 mins. Just remember to keep change because some machines do not take bills. Hotel is clean and quiet even though its right beside main street. Hotel owners and staff are AMAZING! They had great advice about where to eat and what to see. I am a single female traveler and felt safe no matter what time I was out. Would stay again if I am ever in Berlin.

great hotel for couple looking to see berlinPosted Jun 6, 2013
Pros: Good size quiet room
Cons: Limited TV channels
Quiet, comfortable hotel in a great location for public transport links or walking to museum island. Breakfast bit expensive but numerous quality cafes within minutes away. Would happily stay here again.
