“Absolutely Loved this Hotel”
When you arrived to the hotel you are greeted by a monopoly looking man who is very nice and assigns a bell boy to grab your bags and take them up to your room after you check-in. Once you proceed inside you will be in awe because this hotel is so beautiful and classy. Once you approach the check-in desk you will be greated by the nicest and most professional staff. We were greeted by Ana and the hotel primary manager David who would later be such a big help with all our questions(like typical tourist). When we checked-in David upgraded our room at no charge and we didn't even have to ask. Guest can be sure to feel safe here because your room key has a chip which is neccessary if you will like to use the elevator to go up any level. Every room has two little lights and one door bell button at the front door and one light means to not disturb when you turn it on from inside the room adn the other is to have you room cleaned. They greet you every morning with a morning paper or your preferred language. Also they open doors for you and set up your food if you order room service. Over all it is a hotel you have to experience for yourself, as for me I was really satisfied and would definitely go back.
Area recommendations
The Brandenburg Gate divides Belin into East and West and you can easily tell which is the East and which is the West. East Berlin is where our hotel was located is the really nice side of Berlin. On the East side you see a lot of business people and a lot of big business and government building along with a few souvenir shops. Also you will find most of the high-end fashion stores but also the more affordable ones like H&M, Saphora for the ladies. West Berlin is the more traditional side where you will find good traditional German food. Over all both sides are clean and full of history and culture.
Getting around
If you buy a Eurail pass which is a train pass before you got to any part of Europe it will definitely help you get around because the pass allows you to travel back and forth on train to where ever you want to go. Taxis are available depending on what part of Germany you are considering to go but usually you will find one in front of a hotel, train stations, bus stops and the more common. However, the train pass is the best way to travel because their rail system is so fast and convinient.
What to pack
Depending on the month and season you should pack accordingly but from my experience if you go during March make sure you take lots of warm clothes. If you do not wish to pack too much at least make sure you pack some gloves, a scarf, a sweater, a big nice warm coat and an umbrella just in case it rains. If your hotel is as luxurious as the one I stayed in they will provide you with an umbrella as soon as you step out if one is needed.
Must see
You definitely must see the Brandenburg Gate which is an amazing site to see at night and during the day too, and also you must go and see castles. Germany is known for castles and why not check one of those architectural pieces, they are amazing!
Dining
If you would like a good breakfast or just would like to eat german food at a good affordable price then check out Einstein cafe. They are so good that they are always packed but their service is fast and the waiters and waitresses speak English, that was a good thing for me.
