Ideal location and cosy.Posted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: The location was ideal in terms of walking all the sights and having the option of taking the bus right outside the hotel.
Cons: The scrambled eggs were overly done, other than that, the breakfast spread was quite varied and generous.
Location: Too many to list, just read the other reviews about this hotel.
It was like staying at home with the exception of an unobtrusive butler and maid service. I love being able to come back to a cosy "home" after a long day of sightseeing. Every morning I looked forward to my yummy breakfast --loved the bacon, orange juice and coffee the most.

A hotel in Berlin with characterPosted Aug 14, 2013
If you like a bland chain type hotel then this hotel is not for you. It is a bit quirky and reflects it's name with it's high ceilings which reminded me of the film Cabaret. Is it not too far from the Centre of Berlin. You can walk to the S-Bahn or the U-Bahn stations a few minutes walk away or talk the bus from the bus stop just outside the hotel door. The breakfast each morning was more than ample. The lift had the weather forecast for the next three days. Free internet is available in the hotel. All you had to do was request the password for that day.

Comfortable and welcomingPosted Jun 20, 2013
Pros: Character and comfort
Cons: Bedding a little soft for my taste
Location: Close to Potsdamer Platz, easy U- and S-Bahn connection. Walking distance to the Brandenburg Gate.
Not a shiny, glass-and-chrome modern hotel, but a comfortable, well-equipped place with bags of character and full of old world charm, perfect for a city-break weekend, or as we did, a full week exploring Berlin. The staff were welcoming and helpful. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. We will be back.

A pleasant old-style hotel with a few drawbacksPosted Jun 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
It is quite a way from Potzdamer Platz although there is a good bus service. We prefer to walk but it is between 10 and 15 minutes, just enough to get wet through in the unseasonably wet weather at the end of May. The hotel is near traffic lights and the sound of buses and other vehicles starting off was quite loud. The area is not the nicest with a strip club and a casino opposite. The staff was efficient, pleasant and helpful throughout. The breakfast room was somewhat cramped and on Friday we had to wait for about 15 minutes to be seated; it was better on Saturday and Sunday. The food was good with a selection of German, "international" and cooked offers.

Best hotel for us in BerlinPosted Jun 4, 2013
Pros: Decor, safety, location, elevator and friendly service.
Location: The location was great for being near the attractions and museums that we were interested in visiting.
I reserved 2 rooms here during our stay in Berlin and they were just outstanding. First of all I really loved the decor and wonderful service; the very good food for the included breakfast and then in the restrurant for evening meals. The feeling of security by the locked front door and the availability of parking for the rental auto was very much appreciated. The location of the hotel was also appreciated in being right at the center of Berlin and not too far from the major attractions that we were interested in viewing. I would recommend this hotel to all of my friends.
