I had a five day stay at Hotel Brandies. I felt really at home in the lovely big room. The staff were great and the breakfast on offer very good. The hotel was right near the Underground Railroad and I easy found my way around Berlin. The palace and gardens was walking distance both were stunning. Overall this is a great place to stay.

Overall I had a great experience here. The hotel was really nice, the room was large and it was confidently located to the Exhibition Centre and subway stations. For some reason, the double bed came with two single duvets instead of one double one, and the receptionist at checkout was a little short and ill tempered. However overall I enjoyed my stay here and would stay again.

Location of this hotel is very convenient. Less than a minute walk to the U-bahn, and 20-minutes ride to most attractions. Quiet neighborhood. Most of the staff were very nice and friendly. Had a variety of breakfast items but I think it was pricey. I didn’t like the fact that there is no gym in the hotel.ovetall, it is a good place to satu.

Overnight stop in Berlin
Hotel has a strange layout as there are other parts of the building. Very old looking lift but it worked. Room was quite large and reasonably comfortable. Quite a good breakfast but not sure why you couldn't include it in the room rate.

Amazing
What a wonderful Hotel is a great area in Berlin. We chose the hotel because it had parking and it was such a good find. The parking was 9 euro and the car park was just 350 meters from Hotel and a easy stroll. The Underground station was just on the street outside and made it so easy to get around. The Saff spoke English and were very helpful . You can buy the train tickets from them and not have to worry about trying to buy in the station. The room we had was on the 5th floor . A very cute little lift was there to take us up. The window in the room opened fully for fresh ais and as it was during a heat wave we also were given a lovely fan for the room. We booked the Delux room and were not disappointed. The breakfast was yummy and was 12 euro each and had lots fresh fruit and breads and meats and hot bacon eggs sausages and yummy rissoles. We would certainly stay here again and recommend to all to stay. A big 10 out of 10 .

Absolutely recommend. Excellent staff, good restaurant, walking distance from the train station, to the canals and RLD. New construction building on the old, Art Deco section of the hotel, which is where they put me, but had a second floor view onto the canal that just warms the heart. If I ever come back to Amsterdam (and I hope I will), I’m staying here.

Good place to stay in Charlottenburg
We arrived the day before a public transport strike - the reception staff responded by telling us the the regional railways were still running and told us exactly which trains to use. They gave us the same help to get to Sans Souci in Potsdam. The hotel was clean and all the staff friendly. We liked the area as it was quiet with a couple of bakeries and cafes as well as a cracking restaurant (Habels Lindenwirtin)

A beautiful, clean hotel just a few steps away from underground trains. Big room, very comfortable bed, excellent breakfast ( coffe is really good) with friendly, helpful, courteous staffs. Will definitely recommend it.

Nice hotel with convenient location
After a long flight, it eas wonderful to have a room in this comfortable hotel waiting for us. The friendly receptionist quickly checked us in. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We were also very pleased to see that the breakfast buffet had a nice selection.

Clean, comfortable hotel in a cool old building in Berlin. I only stayed one night but I’d definitely come back. Very charming, close to the airport and the U2 train line which made getting around the city very easy. Highly recommend.

Excellent value for the money
This is the 3rd time we've stayed in this hotel and we love it. It's a prewar building with high ceilings and spacious rooms. The breakfast is wonderful. Best of all, the subway station is just out the front door. If you do have a car, we never had trouble getting a parking space.

Great hotel an awesome location
It's a nice hotel in an older building. We stayed there one night on our way back from Copenhagen because it was close to the airport and not too expensive. It turned out to be a great find. Hotel also had one of the biggest bathrooms between the 4 different hotels we stayed at while in Berlin and Copenhagen which was nice. Quiet area and it didn't seem like there was a lot to do in the vicinity, but you're are literally a couple of steps away from the subway, where you can get a 7 euro day ticket to go practically anywhere as many times as you want, which we would highly recommend. They only give you 3 devices to connect to the Wi-Fi, but it was also extremely fast. Probably the only downside was that there was no air conditioning in the room, but they did provide you with a fan. There is also a little bit of room in the mini bar for if you want to put a bottle of something in there.

One of the coolest hotels I have stayed in Berlin, a gorgeous former turn of the century mansion that survived the war and was converted into an amazing hotel!

Clean, friendly next to U Bahn
Simple, cheap hotel and one of the nicest hotels of this price range we stayed at. Tried breakfast the first morning and ended up having it every morning. Good selection, always regularly restocked. Freshly made scrambled eggs, meats, cheeses, fruits etc. Very close to the U Bahn (route 2) so getting into town was simplicity itself if you didn’t fancy the walk in which is about 5km.

Great place for weary travelers
We needed a place to stay for one night after traveling from the US. The room was clean and quiet in a quaint older hotel which is well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was really nice and worth the extra fee.

Dear guest, thanks a lot for the review. Our rooms start small and expand with price. Next time spend a little bit more and give it a try. A smokers corner is in a cosy corner close to reception in open air with central heating on the wall. Sorry that you did not find it.

The people at the hotel, especially the one that serves breakfast, were rude at best. The area is okay, but extremely noisy making it difficult to sleep with sirens blaring and drunk people in the street yelling throughout the night. While the room I stayed in was spacious, the beds were hard. The floor may have been more comfortable than the bed, but I didn't see a vacuum cleaner once so I doubted the cleanliness of the floor.

I really liked this hotel ! I was staying in this hotel for 4 nights with my two 7 and 9 year old sons and was impressed about the size of the room, it was enormous. However be aware of course that not all rooms are the same, as the hotel used to be an old apartment building. Very cozy and with a nice charming antique feeling. Staff was helpful, providing maps, directions, information, etc. Breakfast was ok, nothing spectacular (different cereal, eggs, bacon, different bread, fruits, etc.) ... the usual, but for the price it was very good. Wi-Fi was very good, I managed to use Skype through it with no hassles. The location is very good, probably about 20min with the underground/U-Bahn to Alexander Platz with only one changeover. If I had to complain about something, it would be they forgot to fill the mini bar with beer twice :) which after walking with 2 children for 6 hours at 37C (not kidding), I was dreaming with that beer upon arriving to the room. I would definitely recommend this hotel !!

Helpful, friendly staff all spoke excellent or sufficient English! Had third-floor room at back (no. 39), overlooking garden area. With window wide open, not aware of any traffic noise except occasional emergency vehicle sirens. Bed was 2 singles together with individual quilts! Fresh towels ON REQUEST, room safe (& coffee machine in reception available from 10.00 a.m.) are free. EVERYTHING else is chargeable e.g. no iron/ironing board provided but ironing service available, clean bed linen, pods for in-room coffee machine, bottled water, packs of nuts/similar snacks & mini-bar in fridge ALL chargeable. Lift worked OK but very dated/quirky by UK standards, guests with children must supervise closely. Twice we booked self-service breakfast the night before (10 Euros ppn). Can sit in breakfast room or in garden. Plenty of choice, 7 out of 10. Area around hotel seemed OK during the day, less so at night. Convinced couple of guys on pedal cycles were lining us up for robbery late one night (when we got off the U-Bahn one stop early to go into a supermarket then walked from there to hotel), so at night caution recommended until safely back in hotel. Public transport tickets available at reception. BE AWARE you MUST "validate" tickets (just once) in the validation machines near ticket machines in stations - ours were checked by plain-clothes officials within seconds of the train doors closing the very first time we used the U-Bahn and on another occasion during our stay.

Charming hotel with character close to metro
I couldn't have been more pleased with my stay at the Hotel Brandies Berlin. It had old world charm with modern amenities. Room was spacious and comfortable. It had character and felt unique. I enjoyed using an old school key rather than a key card. The elevator was an experience all its own and was a pleasing step back in time. The wifi worked great and I was able to easily stream content from Netflix with no issues. Breakfast was very good though seating was a bit limited in prime morning hours. The location isn't right in the heart of the Berlin attractions but it's in a nice area and is a 1 minute walk to the metro station. The public transportation in Berlin is fantastic so that's a plus for the location.

Lovely 1910 Hotel.
Loved the creaky floors and 100 year old elevator. Neat and clean. Great balcony over main street. Excellent breakfast for a reasonable cost. Would come back again.

Hotel Bliss in Berlin
All reception staff spoke excellent English and were polite and helpful. It had a very quaint and interesting lift - a real feature of the hotel - I want one for my house!! Hotel was well organised and the rooms large and comfortable. Breakfasts excellent!
