“Another great stay at the Castor...”

For overall comfort and value I think the Castor can't be beaten. Free wi-fi and close proximity to Berlin's best gay friendly venues. The staff are welcoming and totally in tune with the needs of their guests. I only ever stay here when visiting at Easter, September and other times of the year. Great selection of bars and restaurants within a minute's walking distance. It now has superior rooms which are well worth it for a very small additional cost.

“Compact & Clean Room”

My 5 night stay at the Castor was very agreeable. The room was on the small side though and rather spartan. So its not ideal if you like spend a lot of time in your hotel room. There is a decent shower room with wet floor system. The major problem was the lack of air conditioning as it was 25 centigrade in Berlin when I visited. The hotel buffet breakfast at 11Euro was very good and tasty.

“Caster the Vine, Berlin”

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The only problem was a twin bed that tended to slide apart. Considering it is in the middle of the City quite. We were there in February and the rooms were warm. Also you could open windows. Staff efficient and friendly. 24 hour access.

“Very disappointed”

We returned to Castor the Vine having really enjoyed our stay a few years ago but were most disappointed. The major criticism is the attitude of the staff. Reception was appalling. The staff were rude, unhelpful and at one stage almost threw our keys at us when we returned from a day out. They tried to overcharge us for breakfasts we didn't eat. It seems tour groups are far more important than individuals, We won't be back. The location is not convenient enough to overcome rude staff.
