It was great price and clean and good location. Hallways smelled like smoke and walls are thin. Overall I would stay there again. It all you need if your just travelling for a few days and on a budget

I wouldn’t stay here if someone payed me. The receptionist at the front desk was very nice, but unfortunately that’s the only nice thing about the hotel. The entrance is sketchy, you first have to enter a dark hallway with long doors, then walk through another long, dark courtyard to reach the hotel. Once you arrive, there is no elevator (which is winding, inconvenient with heavy luggage, and also poorly lit). The room was clean, but the mattress was extremely thin. There was no extra lock on the door (usually on all hotel doors). The entrance door to the bathroom was open to anyone (no scan or code required). Bathroom was not clean, and smelled quite moldy. Lastly, when I went to use the blow dryer (that I contacted the hotel about prior) it did not work and I had to leave the hotel with wet hair on a cold day. Had to switch hotels the very next day. I wish I had listened to the honest reviews and saved my time.

Does the basics well!
This is a basic hotel but great for fleeting visitors like myself. There are individual rooms with shared bathroom facilities - there are plenty on each floor, and the facilities were very clean. Never had to wait to use the toilet or shower. Check in was simple. Access to the hotel outside of reception hours was by keypad which was easy enough. Key swipe card for everything else. Free WiFi on each floor which worked very well. Reception does offer coffee, but there no facilities in the room for this - thankfully this is not a problem as it is 2 minutes from two decent cafés which are very pleasant (Café Melon does an excellent breakfast). The hotel got in contact with simple to follow directions which was very much appreciated to a stranger in a new city! Other facilities nearby include a launderette, handy for prolonged stays. Would gladly stay again. Great value for money.

Most of the times toilets were dirties. Not enough bathroom. Have to wait for long time to take showers. Very noise at night.

For the price of the room and the commodities you get/the location; its great. The staff were generally quite helpful. Would definitely stay again if I ever found myself in Berlin for a few days.

I booked a single and it was as pictured - like a dorm room with a detached bathroom down the hall. It was in fact very clean, but the front desk wasn’t the friendliest and you must pay a deposit of €20 for the key and if you leave outside of front desk hours (quite limited), you must leave your bank details on a note in your room with the key and they send you the €20 via bank transfer. Secondly, although the area was fine, it was a bit sketchy as there aren’t many people or businesses along the main road and then you walk through a dark courtyard to the building.

Very sketchy entrance with criminal types hanging out in front. Hard to locate. Shared bathroom was just awful. This place was only worth half of what I paid. Also unexpected fees such as a 10 euro late check in fee and 20 euro key deposit

single room and cheap. new simple furniture, shared bathroom good and clean and to many, wifi weak signal but when detected work vvv fast. The staff in the morning very restricted and not welcome at all. she was angry because I ask check in 1 instead if 2PM. the hotel take the money in advance, in addition to 20 euro as deposit. I like the room relative to the price with good location 2 min from Tram station 11 Min from Alexanderplates. I will be thier again if I went to Berlin.

Not so good hotel, but good location.
We arrived at 10PM, so late check-in fee. Check-in time is too early, but that doesn't really bother us because we stayed there for 3 nights. Staffs can speak English, even though not perfect. We couldn't get much sleep in the first night because the guys next to our room came back at 3AM shouting, yelling, and knocking the door so hard. The wall is very thin in this hotel. That night we thought we're gonna give 1-star rating to this hotel, but it gets better in the next two nights (maybe the guys next door already check-out), so we give a better review, but still cannot give more than 3-stars. Good things for this hotel are the price and location.

Good base for exploring Berlin
This is a hotel where you get exactly what you pay for. As a base for exploring Berlin it's perfect with its close proximity to Alexanderplatz only a few tram stops away. The room and the shared showers were clean and the staff helpful (be prepared to practice your German though). The standard of the room was just a step above that of a hostel, but it had wifi and for the low price you pay it is exactly the standard you might expect. If you need a cheap place to stay fairly central in Berlin and don't mind a hostel-feel (but without having to share the room with total strangers) this could be the place for you.

This Hostel was a good deal. It was very comfortable and well kept. My only complaints are that the heat wouldn't turn on and also the towel was way too small. I'd recommend bringing your own towel unless you are a child.

Good hotel.. but very unprofessional.
Hotel facilities were adequate. Shower was fine etc, room was fine. The staff however, not good (well the younger women anyway - terrible). I had to arrange with them the time of my check-in because they shut reception at 6pm. I was in good email contact with them and we arranged that I will be there at 8:00 - 8:30pm. However, when my train was 2 hours late I called the staff up immediately and told them I would be late. They made me feel very uncomfortable as they were more than happy to tell me what an "inconvenience" this had caused them.... When I checked out I asked to leave my bag in the "Luggage Room" (which they have advertised on multiple hodtel sites as a 'facility' they offer). But I was told I could not leave my (very) large suitcase there because they dont have such a room. When I showed to them that their website stated that they had a "Luggage Room" I was given no compromise or empathy. So i had to carry my huge suitcase through Berlin all day. Thanks. They obviously don't care about your stay once they have your money.

The good: clean, simple bare bones rooms at a very inexpensive price. Simple, cheap breakfasts. The bad: inadequate plumbing in the shared showers, poor wi-fi. The wi-fi issue is a serious problem because the only place you can get a signal is the common areas, so people tend to camp out in them and make noise all hours of the day and night, and this is despite signs posted in both German and English to maintain quiet hours between 10-7am. If you need quiet in order to sleep this can be problematic.

Don't plan to go back. Did not feel at all welcome. The location is great & the hotel is very clean. There is no elevator so if you are on the 3rd floor like we were, it is diffcult to lug you bags up. The floors go ground, 1 , 2 3. So you lug your bags up 3 stories of steep stairs. The receptionist speaks very little to no English & does not allow you to store you bags there when you go take a city tour. When 11am comes she comes to the room to make sure you get out.

Great for a no frills hotel on the cheap. But don't expect access to air con, fans, or wifi (only avail in the lobby and weak at that despite advertising that its available in the rooms as well. 20 euro deposit in cash just to get your room key. Surrounding area isn't the best, but you can catch the tram outside with easy access to alexanderplatz. Also, it says welcome rewards applicable on the site here, but my conformation email said its not. So beware before booking....

Good value at lowcost
Staff was friendly and rooms were Ikea-style. True, you had to go to floor common area for wifi and the bathroom and showers were separate from the room. The neighborhood was a little dodgy and their is graffiti on the entrance archway. Still, the rooms are clean and safe. Hotel is on a well lit main street with tram service straight into Berlin in minutes. If you want a reliable, clean low-cost room for yourself to overnight in while touring Berlin, this hotel is the right place. Note that if you check in after hours, you must coordinate with the staff to get your keys. Staff understands English and is conscientious. They are responsive in advance to your email queries, too. They seem to care about you having a nice stay.

This hotel - more like a hostel, really - was conveniently located only ten minutes' walt from Alexander Platz, was clean and tidy, and the staff at check-in spoke very good English (despite my protests at practising my German!). As you might expect, the bathrooms and showers are shared (there are cubibles, obviously!) but there are enough for queues to not be a problem, we found. All beds are singles (we had a two-person room, two singles, not a double). Negatives: Hotel did not change towels or bedding during our 3 night stay, which although was fine for 3 nights, I was unsure as to whether they would if we stayed any longer or not - didn't ask. Also, the walls are all very thin - so if you are in a room next to a bathroom like us, I'd ask to switch rooms as you'll hear the doors slamming and the toilet being used and flushed! Or, bring ear-plugs... Also there is no wi-fi, or internet connection anywhere in the hotel, or even computers you can pay to use - there is a cafe with free wifi only 5 mins walk away though in the direction of town, or if you need a computer then there's a cafe 5 mins walk the other direction. Overall - it's basic, but for the price you pay, you would expect this. Nothing about it is exceptional, but for 3 nights, and only 10 mins walk from town, I'd stay here again at this price.

Ein schlichtes, aber sehr cooles Hotel. Etagentoilette, Dusche und Waschraum sind gewöhnungsbedürftig. Aber alles sehr sauber und ordentlich. Die Matratze war recht unbequem. Das W-LAN dagegen recht leistungsstark. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis super!

Bett war kein Bett sondern eine ausgemergelte Pritsche. Toilette auf dem Flur für die ganze Etage. Dusche ebenfalls ca. 30 Meter links. 2 Duschen für ca. 25 Zimmer. Eine reine Pension 1/2 Stern ohne Speisen bzw. Frühstück. Dafür im 4. Stock ist € 100,00 pP/Nacht absolut unter der Gürtellinie.
