Clean, and as described. The bathroom was shared with the room next door with locks on both sides of the door to keep the bathroom private when in use.

“Great value for money”

Excellent value for money, clean and bright rooms, spacious bathroom, the breakfast buffet was generous and varied. In a central location just 8 minutes from Friedrichstrasse U-Bahn station, the young staff were friendly and very helpful. I'll definitely go back!

staying in a hostel is not for everyone but if you are looking for good value for your money it is an excellent choice. This is one is great - Good breakfast included. the closest UBahn stop Seestrasse on U6 then you are minutes away. Interesting neighbourhood. Easy access to airport. I am a 59 year old youth hosteller, hahaha

“Good only if you are on a budget”

This hotel is only worth it if you are on a budget, since comfort is something very much to be desired. I found the bed was extremely hard while the pillow hardly provided any support. Plus the rooms are not noise proof, so if you have a light sleep you are probably bound to be repeatedly awakened by the coming and going of other guest.

“Not as advertised”

I had booked a single room, that from the advertisement stated had a private bathroom. The expedia ad also mentions in room safes and a restaurant. None of these things happened. Yes, I had a single room, but the bathroom was shared with the room next door, there was no safe, and definitely no restaurant (apart from a basic buffet breakfast). I realise that this is a backpackers hostel, but I the information provided was not accurate at all. The location of this hostel (note am not calling it a hotel), was not what I understood to be the Mitte area, but in a suburb to the north of Berlin (closest metro is Seest.) - but maybe this is still called Mitte. Overall, I have to admit I was rather disappointed.
