“Nice design hotel”

The hotel has nice modern (but in the rooms somewhat cold) interior design. We booked a standard double room which was too small for the two of us. Area does not live up to the style of the hotel - somewhat traditional main stream shopping. You need to go quite far to find districts that has shopping and dining that match the hotel. Great breakfast buffet.

“A good hotel for all ages”

At first we were surprised at the fact that there were no pictures on the walls and the white corridors and taupe coloured doors with large locks on them seemed very like a prison block with cells. However the room was very comfortable and clean and the breakfast on the 7th floor was good and the bus transport from outside was first class so we were very bappy.

This was our first trip to Berlin. The hotel was very reasonably priced and located in a great part of Berlin (Kurfurstendamm). The hotel was right in front of a bus stop which was a great plus since the public transportaion in Berlin is great. The bus passes are also good for use on the above ground train and subway. The hotel breakfast was pretty good but there are so many great breakfast places in Berlin, I wouldn't recommend eating there more than once. The rooms are clean and very modern. One thing that was kinda weird was the bed situation. My wife and I had a double occupancy room and instead of a double or queen size bed, they had two single beds put next to each other. The beds kept moving apart and I would often start top fall between them in the middle of the night. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel. The internet terminals in thelobby were also extremely helpful.

“Nice hotel in quiet area of Berlin”

This hotel is nice, friendly staff, spa amenities available for extra fee, two free internet computers. Room wasn't quite as comfortable as I'd hoped and there is not a metro station closer than 4 block walk, but Supermarket and several Greek and Middle Eastern restaurants nearby. Also, this is 10 blocks from the Zoo and Gedaechtniskirche area. Next trip to Berlin I will stay further east.

“Good hotel, far from the heart of the action”

The 101 is a very nice hotel (large rooms for Europe) with good service at a good price. Unfortunately, it is quite a hike from the heart of the city and the main tourist attractions, except for the shopping. The nearest subway stop is a 10 minute walk and requires a connection to make it to the center of Berlin. Berlin's public transport is great, so it's not a big deal, but if you have any trouble walking, this hotel is not ideal. Additionally, while the breakfast area is great and has a panoramic view of the city, it is quite expensive (~15 euro per person) given the rather mundane food provided (although they do have an excellent selection of loose-leaf teas). Overall, I would go back, but I would bring my walking shoes.

Its very clean and modern, the room was specious and the service was good. However I would prefer the TV to be a bit larger.
