Great base to explore Berlin and surrounding areaPosted Sep 12, 2014
Our second stay at Louisa's Place which is a superb base to return to at the end of busy days exploring both central Berlin and areas including Wansee , Potsdam and Charlottenburg. The transport options are all close by and it is possible to walk to many places of interest and explore the Ku'dam . The pool and sauna facilities are a bonus and the staff could not be more pleasant or helpful . The rooms are comfortable and clean .We were a little concerned when we first arrived this time to discover a building site next door but the disturbance was minimal despite the 7am start it resulted in us being up early to make the most of the day .

At the quieter end of town.Posted Jul 14, 2014
The hotel is at the western end of Ku'dam and all the better for it. It is close to u-bahn and s-bahn stations, and buses run frequently to most tourist destinations. The staff are welcoming and efficient. It would have been helpful if we had been told that the building next door was being demolished and that work begins at 7am. This being Berlin in July and therefore very warm the demolition work presented us with a problem. The hotel has no air conditioning so open windows are the only way to keep cool. Not if the incoming air is laden with brick dust. We should have been told.

Four day break in BerlinPosted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Clean, comfortable generous size suites and attentive and friendly staff.
Cons: Reduce the cost of the breakfast to about 12 Euro's and we would have had it everyday.
Location: Close to Adenauer Platz station plus frequent buses down the Ku Damm towards the city centre.
Louisa's Place is a really nice place to stay to enjoy the sites of Berlin. It is situated at the western end of the Kurfurstendamm (known as Ku Damm) but is conveniently close to Adenauer Platz U Bahn station and just a 20 minute bus ride from Tegel airport. The Ku Damm is where all the top shops are and there is a regular stream of Ferrari's, Lambo's and Porsche's parading up and down. The hotel is very clean, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms or suites are a generous size and comfortable. We avoided the breakfast for 3 days as at 22 Euro's it is much too expensive, although we did take it on our last day. We took the bus down the Ku Damm about 3 stops to Alt-Berliner Biersalon for a 7 Euro breakfast. We would certainly stay at Louisa’s Place again and would recommend it to our friends and family.

Perfect location and facilities in BerlinPosted Jun 29, 2014
This hotel balances luxury with homeliness. There is a beautiful library and sitting room in which to relax on the ground floor. The swimming pool, gym, spa and sauna in the basement are elegant, super clean and beautifully decorated. The breakfast room looks out onto a courtyard, which you can enjoy whilst savouring the fabulous breakfast. The rooms are massive. We had a suite comprising bedroom with private balcony, hall, sitting room/kitchen and bathroom. The staff are attentive and friendly. The location is perfect being near transport links - very easy for the airport on bus 109 - and wonderful shops and restaurants. I cannot fault this hotel and would not stay anywhere else when visiting Berlin so please don't tell anyone else as I want to be sure to secure a reservation!

Comfortable hotel with great access to BerlinPosted Jun 20, 2014
Pros: Everyhting I said above and they have wifi too.
Cons: I wouldn't change anything, myself.
Location: The hotel is on the Kurfurstendamm near the Adenauerplatz. It's easy to reach by bus from Tegel (109). It's easy to get into the rest of Berlin.
From the moment I arrived late at night, I felt welcomed and relaxed there. It is easy to find when you get off the bus 109 from Tegel at Adenauer Platz and easy to access the rest of Berlin by bus or U-Bahn. The rooms are large and comfortable and very quiet and private. There's a great pool in the basement to unwind after a full day exploring the far reaches of Berlin itself. It has a lot of restaurants around about which are superb, I particularly liked the family run East Prussian restaurant that was recommended, fabulous. The staff in the hotel were sensible, very helpful and very nice. A great place to stay and I'd go back.

Excellent.Posted Jun 19, 2014
Cons: Air-conditioning for bedrooms.
Fantastic Hotel. The only possible glitch is that bedrooms do not have air-conditioning, which is clearly only an issue if the weather is particularly warm, as it was when we stayed.

Convenient LocationPosted Jun 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
The front desk staff was super - very helpful, personable, and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean upon arrival. The hotel is adjacent to metro and bus service and a short walk to the train. There are lots of restaurants, bakeries, and grocery stores nearby. There is also self-service laundry available in the basement, another plus. On the negative side: housekeeping was not very thorough on a daily basis - some days they only replaced the towels and straightened up the bed, but didn't clean or vacuum. Also, the draperies in our room could have stood a good cleaning and the soft furnishing were rather tired looking. A previous poster commented on the height of the toilets and I thought she was probably a crank, but I totally get it now. If you are under 5'6", the toilets are a challenge! All in all, I would recommend this hotel and stay here again...but maybe not during the summer months - no A/C.

Old world hotel with french flair. Beautiful rooms, excellent hotel service they will help with any needs you have. The only down fall was our garden view room did over look the garden and a major construction site with debri and lots of construction noise all day long. High end shopping and restaurants to fit any budget within walking distance. Loved the hotel and area, construction was the only bad part. Hopefully, that will be done soon.
