“Great Hotel”
The hotel is being kept up very nicely. Rooms are large (31 sq m), and very comfortable. Bathrooms are equally large and very clean. The slight disappointment was a small tube TV which came in the room - an LCD would have been a bit nicer, as well as a fairly limited choice of non-German channels.
The hotel has a decent size gym, pool, steam room, dry sauna, which are fantastic, free and open to all guests from early morning (6.00) until late at night (23.00). A very nice way to start or finish off a day!
Breakfast may or may not be included in the room rate, so check carefully. If not, it is 24 Euro extra, but it is well worth it. Quality and variety of items offered is absolutely superb. Truly, one of the best hotel breakfasts I've seen around.
My only real issue with the hotel is its location. Whilst it is fairly close to Potsdamer Platz, still, a 10-minute walk to the closest S-Bahn or U-Bahn station can be a bit of an issue, especially in the winter months. Other than that, the hotel is fairly close to the centre of the city. It is located in a very quiet consular area, so not too much traffic around. Only about 15 minutes away from TXL by cab, and about 35 minutes away from SXF.
All in all, a great experience and would certainly recommend this hotel to others.
