“Excellent choice in Berlin”

This is an excellent Berlin hotel. The location is optimal, and yet the hotel provides a quiet and private environment. My room was very comfortable. Very nice space, modern and neutral decor. The bathroom was very nice, lots of marble, an ample and deep bathtub for soaking at the end of a busy day. The room was perfectly clean when I arrived, and was kept in excellent condition during my stay. Room service was provided over extended hours. The choices were good, the food was delicious, and the prizes were extremely reasonable for room service. I was very pleased and very much enjoyed my six-day stay. I do plan to use this hotel again when business or pleasure takes me back to Berlin.

“ideal location”

The location of this hotel couldn't be better--it's right around the corner from the Friedrichstrasse train station and Unter den Linden; you can easily walk to the Museum Island or catch the 100 bus to Alexanderplatz or to Potsdamer Platz. It's also only a block from the bus stop for the Tegel airport express bus, and one S-bahn stop from the main train station. I would recommend asking for a room on one of the upper floors, though, as the traffic noise on the lower floors (especially with the windows open) would be bothersome. I didn't sign up for breakfast as it was rather expensive and the area is full of bakeries that serve inexpensive coffee and pasteries. My room was large, comfortably furnished, and even had a bathtub.

“Ideally situated for walking around the main historical points of the city.”

The hotel is brilliantly situated for walking around the main historical points of interest in the city including WW2, Cold War, the Wall and museums for older events. A wide variety of cafes and restaurants of good quality are within easy reach. English is widely spoken. For visits to out-of-town places, one of the main railway stations/underground is only a short walk away. Taxis are plentiful and cheap; the hotel has a taxi rank.

“Gooodhotel, superb location”

The location is excellent- 5 minutesfrom Brandenburg gate, 7 minutes from the Reichstg, 1 minute to a major train station (both underground and regular- U-Bahn and S-Bahn). Taxi from Tiegel airport was 12 Euros. Roooms are standart for this type of hotel-large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast has a good variety of cold and hot dishes, but the serving plates are small and during the Rash hoour" the staff don't fill them frequently.

“Great Location”

A very pleasant experience with responsive staff and great internet, and of course centrally located. Just watch out for second-floor rooms on the weekends when they book parties, and don't be surpirsed if they knock on your door shortly after 8:00 a.m. to clean your room.

“The best hotel in Berlin? Absolutely!”

Sensational hotel, great staff, made us feel very welcome. The breakfast is up there with the best in the world.....well done. Great art in the lobby and throughout the hotel.

“What a perfect location.”

We were supposed to be booked into another Maritim Hotel near the Tiergarten but it was full. So the agent suggested the ProArte. It turned out to be a much better option for us. We had never been to Berlin before. We could walk to museum island, to Opera Comische, to Staatsopera, The hotel is just a block away from Unter den Linden and , in the other direction, a block from the S Bahn station. The rates were fair and we used the pool daily. All in all. we loved Berlin. The hotel, decorated with good contemporary art, reflected Berlin's modernity.

“Great hotel, good location, great service”

The hotel was your typical large scale "conference hotel", so don't expect a small-hotel charme, but the rooms were comfortable, newly decorated, clean... we felt very comfortable. The Exercise/pool/sauna area was outstanding. All main attractions are in walking distance, no need to use the car once. Which brings me to the one down-side: the hotel tends to nickel-and-dime you: breakfast costs extra, Wifi costs extra, parking is excessive (20Euro/night), so it can add up. But, overall, we had an outstanding stay and can fully recommend it.

“Very nice hotel in a good location.”

This is a good hotel situated within walking distance to major sights such as the Reistag and the Brandenburg gate. It is also two minutes from the under/overground railway station which provides a convenient and easy way to get around. We didnt use the restaraunts as too expensive, however there is a bakery around the corner which is nice. The pool area, accessable by private lift, is incredible and so relaxing - its worth staying just for the pool! I would thoroughly recommend staying at this hotel.

“Perfect CIty, Perfect hotel”

A perfectly located hotel for all the sights in Berlin and very friendly and helpful staff at check-in. The room was spotless and kept that way during our week long stay and the pool was very welcome after a day's sightseeing. If you can call it a downside, the air conditioning was not on but at this time of year it made no difference. We would definitely be staying there again.
