“Berlin Melia Hotel Excellent”

The Melia hotel is in the perfect location to explore Berlin either by foot or using the transport system that is on its doorstep. The hotel itself was very clean and check in was fast and uncomplicated. Our room was on the 3rd flloor over looking a small courtyard. We did not want a room to the front. The room itself was clean, air conditioner was quiet, mini bar was well stocked though pricey, (never used it) room safe, windows that opened and TV that only had two English speaking news channels. No tea or coffee making facilities in room. The hotel has a lot of the main attractions you want to see in Berlin on its doorstep. The Reichstag is a ten minute walk down the side of the Spree and a few minutes walk from there is the Branndenburg Gate. A walk along from the Brandenburg Gate is the Holocaust Memorial and museum. If you walk in the opposite direction again along the river Spree for about 15 minutes you come to Hack(esch)er Markt a great place for a night out.

“Fabulous - definitely go”

The hotel was in an excellent position, a very short walk from a station on the Express line to the airport. Very convenient for designer shopping, museums, art galleries, good restaurants, river trips. Close and in walking distance to Brandenburg gate and other great buildings. The level is definitely worth paying for, the lounge is a good facility when travelling with friends, the complimentary tapas, snacks and drinks are really good. Breakfast consists of a wide range of delicious goodies. Staff delightful and helpful too. We have been making city visits for over 12 years and this is the best hotel for all round excellence we have visited.

“A great stay in a great City!”

This is a first rate hotel in all senses of the word. The rooms were well thought out and comfortable. Access is restricted by card and we had no trouble with heating or cooling. Transportation is available, world class museums, dining and theater are within 5 minute walk.

“Great stay on The Level”

We stayed on the Level which was great except there were only two computers available and with a whole floor trying to use them it was hard to get any length of time on them. But overall great location for sightseeing and comfortable hotel.

“outstanding hotel”

This hotel is very modern and comfortable at the same time. Every convenience is available. The only thing I didn't appreciate was being charged 3 Euros for 15 minutes on the lobby computers. Many German hotels make a computer terminal available at no additional cost.

“Good location”

Good location and great value. This hotel has recently been refurbished and the rooms are finished to a very high standard. Its within 10 minutes easy walk of the Reichstag.

“Good hotel, brand new, central.”

Not topnotch location ambiancewise- but it is an easy 5 minute walk from that kind of location, and quality of hotel and public transportation are very good. Something that may be of interest and not generally known: Melia is a Spanish chain, and part of the staff speaks Spanish.
