Handy hotel near to main train station.

Posted Oct 19, 2013
Pros: Close to the train station.
Cons: More attention to cleanliness in the bathroom.
Location: Close to train station. Opposite the Natural History museum and walkable to a major Berlin Wall area.
This hotel is very adequate for a short stay in Berlin. Reasonably clean but not too spacious. Didnt try the breakfast as a very nice cafe place was just 3 minutes away and much cheaper. Handy for the Natural History museum over the road. For train travellers this is ideal.

close to hauptbanhof

Pros: Location, not very close to sighs but 10 mins from Hauptbanhof.
Cons: Room ventilaton, give stoppers for windows to remain open through the night.
Location: Train station 10 mins walk, main attractions about 25 mins away.
Good hotel, very nice pleasant rooms, new decor and the bathrooms are to a very high standard. I would just note that with no aircon in the rooms, the windows are security approved and hence after opening they close themselves after a while, which makes the night very stuffy with no ventilation.

Failed to meet expectations

Posted Jul 13, 2013
The room was very small and did not seem to have air conditioning. The large window opened easily, however, it had an automatic closer which caused it to slam shut at decreasing intervals. We had to prop the window open with a wooden coat hanger in order to have any ventilation in the room.

Fair hotel

The room seems newly renovated and clean but rather small that no space to even place our luggage. The hotel is not too far from the main central station (if you don't have large luggage) and within walking distance to a U-Bahn station and good restaurants. However the quality of service is not to my satisfaction.

Elegant, comfortable home away from home

Posted May 23, 2013
Pros: The comfortable, yet sleek rooms, and the good location.
Cons: No regular tea! That is, no English Breakfast or Assam, just herbal and Earl Grey.
Location: See above
This is a good hotel: not too expensive, very well-appointed rooms, comfortable bed, free wifi, free mineral water and there were also tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The room had a safe, which was good for peace of mind. The bathroom was excellent. The hotel is conveniently located 10 minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof, and is directly opposite the lovely old Museum fur Naturkunde. It is a reasonably short walk to Friedrichstrasse, via Chausseestrasse, which has many cafes and also the beautiful idyll that is the French Reform (Huguenot) Cemetery. The hotel provided a really good buffet breakfast, but this was not free. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
