Reasonable generic hotel, short walk to transportPosted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Ok location, quiet area and nice staff.
Cons: Could do with modernising as for a "4 star" hotel it didn't meet expectations... "3 star" is more accurate
Location: Location is not in the most affluent areas but the people are all pleasant and friendly
We stayed at the Hotel for 4 nights and it was during a mini heat wave with temperatures over 25c at night and over 33c during the day which made for some uncomfortable sleeping. The hotel has no air conditioning but they did have very quiet fans in the rooms which just took the edge of things. We had booked a double room but they don't have any doubles... all are twins apparently so be aware if you like to cuddle! Fortunately this was a blessing as the missus loves to cuddle and it would have been unbearable with the heat! (Please don't tell I said that). There are bus stops right in front of the Hotel and only 35mins from the airport and there is an underground (U6) just 8 minutes walk down the road. This takes you straight through to the attractions of the city and pretty much everything in Berlin was within 50mins tops. The hotel is a bit dated but very functional. We didn't eat in the restaurant but did get a bottle of water from the bar for €4.50! considering the exact same water is available from the mini bar at €2.80 I'd avoid the bar... also a shop just 5 mins down the road sells bigger bottles of water for €1.50. I've not been at a hotel in many years where they still have CRT tvs, you know the massive bulky TVs from yesteryears.

Friendly, clean and comfortablePosted Jul 15, 2014
Stayed here for 3 nights when visiting friends for a mini break. The staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and comfortable. I was very impressed at the value for money. Great.
Poor internet connectionPosted May 31, 2014
I was on 2 days business trip and needed internet badly, the room given to me for the first night did not have a connection coverage of wifi, front desk staff was not friendly and corporative the change the room, on second when my room was changed internet coverage was poor too, I had to use my mobile hotspot for both 2 days stay. the rooms where clean, there was a mini kitchen in the room with the electric stow, but no kitchen basic tools for warming up your food

Nice for the pricePosted Feb 12, 2014
Pros: Nice, clean, and a very friendly staff.
Cons: Uses old fashion keys, should upgrade to key cards for added security.
Location: Was convenient to the U-Bahn, which I liked, and allowed access to all of Berlin. It was also a conveniently located to the event I was there for.
It was a nice hotel, and the staff was very nice. I didn't like that they still used old fashion keys, I wish they would upgrade to a key card system for better security. It was nice they had safety deposit boxes, but wish they had a private area for putting things in and out. Instead you had to take the chance of other guess seeing what you were putting in there.

Great hotelPosted Jan 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
Hotel was easy to get to from Schönefeld airport as there was a bus line that goes past it. Hotel staff were very friendly. Hotel room was very clean, there was towels and hairdryer in the bathroom. Gummy bears on the pillows. A bit noisy as it is just off a main road but after travelling all over Berlin it didn't bother us. Location is very good - just need a 10 minute walk to the nearest U-bahn (Grenzallee) and the bus service 171 closest to the hotel can also take you to Hermannplatz.

Not a 4 starPosted Jan 7, 2014
Pros: The staff were friendly. Nothing else stuck out being great. Free wifi
Cons: The lights are all turned out at night, halls are pitch black. The lobby has a strange smell, TV was useless.
Location: There is nothing close by at all except a cemetery and car dealership. Subway is a 7 min it took about 35-40 min total to get to any main attraction.
The hotel was a huge disappointment when we arrived. I have stayed in 4-star hotels all over the world and this is certainly not even close to that standard. It is a bit far from Berlin attractions, but subway will take you most places. If this hotel was not advertised as 4 star, it wouldn't be so bad. There weren't much per se wrong with the hotel, just very low quality. One thing that did impede my comfort a great deal was the amount of noise in the hotel at night. It constantly sounded like there was water running in our room and other strange sounds throughout the night, not from other guests however. If you are looking for four star I can guarantee you this is not it.
