“my satisfaction was great there!”
the kids love the hotel! the restaurant is amazing! the service at the hotel is lovely!
“Not for honeymoon couples -- or any couple who expect the Queen bed”
Everything's perfect here: location, restaurant, atmosphere -- except for the stupid European (I see it in every country) practice of pushing together two single beds, each with its own comforter, and calling it a Queen bed. Snuggling? Only if you don't mind falling between the two child-width beds. What a ridiculous way to take care of guests, and so easy to fix. Like the European allergy to window screens (none on the windows here, of course, and thank you, chambermaid, for the nighttime buzzing visitors) there must be a continental-wide allergy to sleeping together.
“Recommendable”
Warm and comfortable
“best location in Berlin downtown”
great modern new hotel with huge fishtank(aquarium) in the lobby. Exceptional service. would go again
“Radisson Blu Berlin”
Great business hotel, great location, comfortable room, with most Western amenities. The cost of the breakfast buffet, tho, is outrageous. We ate there one day, and at closeby restaurants the rest of the week. The last day(night) of our stay, the maid did not leave enough towels, and missed replacing some other guest amenities. One thing: we went down to breakfast early one day, in the Hotel, and returned to the room to find the maid cleaning it already, before 9am. Had to wait about 20 minutes or so to get back into the room. All in all, the location was great, right along the Spree. walkable to most everything you'd want to see as a tourist, except the reichstag and main train station.
“A hotel that truly earns its star rating”
I was actually a little wary of this place -- a multi-storey fish tank in the lobby seemed like a bit of a gimmick -- but it's a well-appointed and well run hotel. Rooms are modern, comfortable, and extremely quiet (there's actually muzak playing in the hallways but you can't hear it at all as soon as you close the door). Staff are plentiful, friendly, and helpful. If you can get an Expedia rate that includes breakfast, it's well worth it. Location is pretty good -- I had a view of the Berlin cathedral from my small balcony -- but not totally central. With the exception of Alexanderplatz, you'll probably spend all your time west of the hotel. Coming on the S-train, get off at Hackescher Markt (not Alexanderplatz) for a shorter walk.
“Fantastic Hotel”
A fantastic hotel, built around an atrium which is centered around a six to eight story fish tank filled with brilliant tropical fish. We sat and watched for hours. The location is ideal for museum buffs, being across the bridge from Museum Island, and is on the city bus line. Many sights are within walking distance. The staff was efficient and friendly and the breakfast was excellent - not the all-too-often-found coffee and roll, but everything from omelets and waffles to yogurt (for those with self-control who can bypass the croissants. ) The restaurant expands into a terrace along the river and you can have your morning juice and enjoy the outdoor environment. The only less than perfect was the shower, which had the European half-sheet of glass - good for the stately, but limiting for those of us who like to splash about.
“I will ALWAYS stay here while traveling to Berlin”
I have stayed at hotels all over the world for business travel. This hotel exceeded my expectations.
“Highly recommended hotel in the Mitte”
Great hotel, excellent service. Loved having free wireless available everywhere (lobby and in the room.) Perfect, central location in the Mitte. I would definitely return to this hotel.
“Great Hotel in Unbeatable Location”
We had a great experience at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Berlin. The hotel staff was very accommodating and pleasant. The hotel could not be in a better location! It's within walking distance to the all major sites and just a few steps from the key museums in Berlin. Our reservation included breakfast which was great, the buffet was quite varied and of very good quality. All, this in addition to the great view of the aquarium. Definitely a great hotel!
